The latest MLB trade deadline rumors

• The White Sox appear to be closing in on a deal for Diamondbacks pitcher Edwin Jackson. The White Sox have strong pitching but lost Jake Peavy for the year so they appear to want to maintain their strength. The White Sox would likely send Daniel Hudson, a pitching prospect, to Arizona along with a second prospect, also likely a pitcher. The conventional wisdom has been that the White Sox would flip Jackson for Adam Dunn to the Nationals, who have long sought Jackson. But it appears the White Sox may keep Jackson. They have been interested in Dunn, as well.
