Kunal Kohli has forbidden Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone, the stars of his under-production film Break Ke Baad, currently shooting in Mauritius, from going on any social networking site on the internet to talk about their film. This is the second producer to have blocked his stars from tweeting about a film. Earlier Sajid Nadiadwala had to restrain Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra from social networking about their film Anjaana Anjaani. But Kunal Kohli says his case is different from Anjaana Anjaani. Explains Kohli, "I've only asked Deepika and Imran to desist from tweeting for three weeks until Imran's new film I Hate LUV Storys is released. I don't want any overlapping in the public's subconscious about the two films. Once Imran's other film is out, he and Deepika are free to tweet to their heart's content." Until then Kohli isn't letting his two incorrigible twitters put any visuals or words on the internet. This has apparently not been taken well by Imran and Deepika. Imran was heard grumbling loudly about the curtailment of freedom of expression. Says Kunal determinedly, "I really don't approve of stars giving out information on micro-blogging sites, but I don't think we should stop them. What I can do is to decide when is the right time to tweet."

Akshay Kumar in Ghajini director's next, Vipul Shah to produce

Murugadoss has taken his next script for a Hindi film to Akshay Kumar and is all set to direct his second Hindi film two years after the all-time highest grosser Ghajini. Akshay's close friend and business associate Vipul Shah who's currently producing the Hindi version of the Telugu hit Kaakha Kaakha with John Abraham will produce Murugadoss's second Hindi film. No stone is being left unturned to make sure the Akshay-Murugadoss team comes up with a whammy as big as Ghajini. Though tight-lipped about the project, Vipul Shah is all set to spend whopping Rs 20-25 crores on the action sequences alone. Akshay's brief to the director. "I've a reputation for delivering stunts. Make sure the action rocks." Unlike Ghajini, Murugadoss' second film is not a remake of one of his Tamil-Telugu hits. Speaking from Chennai the shy diminutive director says, "Yes, my screenplay for the film with Akshay Kumar is an original, not a remake of one of my Tamil films. Like Ghajini, it is basically a love story with a strong action base." The film starts shooting in January 2011. On meeting Akshay over the project Murugadoss was told to make the violence "more fun than gory." The reference to Ghajini's stomach-churning brutalization of Asin's character was not lost on the director who is at the moment busy brushing up his Hindi. During Ghajini, Murugadoss couldn't speak or understand a word of Hindi. "But I'm changing that. By the time Akshay and I start working together, I'd be much better able to understand Hindi." Though Murugadoss is not yet willing to divulge the name of the female lead in his Akshay starrer, Ghajini gal Asin whom producer Vipul Shah is very fond of and came close to signing for the Hindi remake of Kaakha Kaakha, is apparently the chosen one. Two years ago, Asin had opted out of making her debut with Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan's De Dana Dan because she had found the role insubstantial. Not one to hold grudges, Akshay constantly on the prowl for fresh co-stars, has given the nod to Asin. Says Murugadoss, "We haven't really decided on Akshay's co-star. But yes, Asin is a strong contender." Incidentally, Murugadoss' project with Shah Rukh Khan is still on. "We've met and he has liked my idea. We've to work out details."

Anurag Kashyap signs Manoj Bajpai for Gangs of Wasseypur

It's the re-unite season of sorts I guess. Ram Gopal Varma re-united with his long lost friend Vivek Oberoi after a gap of eight years to create Rakth Charitra. And if that's called a big coming together of lost mates, try this. Remember Bollywood's one of the most loved villain Bhikhu Mhatre? Well, the time for Anurag Kashyap to re-unite with his friend Manoj Bajpai is here. The eccentric director who gave birth to Manoj Bajpai's character in RGV's most talked about film Satya is planning to direct his most ambitious project till date, titled Gangs of Wasseypur. Anurag Kashyap's adaptation, Gangs of Wasseypur, based on the coal mine mafia is all set to roll in a month's time. What's more shocking is the fact that Anurag is trying to create The Godfather on celluloid once again. So after RGV's Sarkar and Prakash Jha's Raajneeti, here is one more in the making which may well shock us with its treatment. That's the trait of Kashyap. He does magic in every film of his. Manoj Bajpai quotes, "Yes, it is true that I have been recommended for Gangs of Wasseypur by Anurag. It's a pivotal role for me. I haven't read the final script yet but will in a few days from now. I am so thrilled that the same person who wrote Bhikhu Mhatre's role in Satya is not only writing my character in this film but is also directing it. We re-unite after twelve long years. That's quite something." About the Godfather story in Gangs of Wasseypur, Manoj said, "There are talks that my role in the film is what Marlon Brando's was in The Godfather. As I said before, I haven't read anything yet but am eagerly waiting to read the script." All said and done, but the question still asked by many from the industry is - When will Ram Gopal Varma re-unite with Manoj Bajpai? And will Sarkar 3 be made? The answers to the above question remains a mystery.

Anupam Kher to play Hitler, Neha Dhupia will be Eva Braun

'Controversy and Anupam Kher go hand in hand' sounds absolutely vague and ambiguous as compared to the statement 'Controversy and Hitler go hand in hand'. Well, if you are wondering about the link between the Bollywood actor and the dictator, well, think no further as the fact is that Anupam Kher has been signed up to star in a film called Dear Friend Hitler. The film being directed by the debutante Rakesh Ranjan, will also Neha Dhupia as Eva Braun. Well, no sooner the film was announced, it started making headlines, for all the wrong reasons. It got bad press from renowned international newspapers like Dawn and The Guardian, stating that the film is aimed at glorifying Hitler. Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Anupam Kher said, "According to me, Hitler is a controversial figure and it suits the western media. What I find ironical is the fact that how can someone pass any judgment on the film even without seeing the film or knowing the script. Let me clarify that this film is about the downfall of Hitler and nothing else. They can make anything which they want to make. Somebody has tweeted me saying that two French newspapers have written this as a main story of their editions." One just hopes that the controversy gets settled as soon as possible, as we are sure that the audiences all over are dying to see the cut-throat and cut-moustache Hitler, courtesy Anupam Kher!

Prachi Desai does a Dimple Kapadia in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai

After playing the simple bahu in Ekta Kapoor's popular T.V. serial Kasamh Se, Prachi Desai is all set to shed her inhibitions for a particular song sequence in Ekta Kapoor's home production Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The film, directed by Milan Luthria, has Prachi paired opposite Emraan Hashmi. Since the film is set in the 70's, the duo are shown watching the super-hit Rishi Kapoor-Dimple Kapadia starrer Bobby in the theatre during a particular song sequence in the film. Emraan's character Shoaib then gifts Prachi's character Mumtaz a polka dotted top and short skirt, similar to the one worn by Dimple in Bobby. Apparently Prachi was initially taken aback when director Milan Luthria asked her to wear this dress as she found it a bit too bold for her liking. It may be recalled that earlier Prachi had clearly informed that she wouldn't be doing any kissing scenes with her co-star Emraan, however while that wish of hers was granted, this one wasn't and Prachi eventually had to go by her director's choice and wear the so-called 'bold' outfit.

Vishwajeet Pradhan injured on sets of Rakta Charitra

Action seems to be the name of the game with deadly stunts and massive explosions. It's not uncommon that stunt crew and actors get injured in the process; the same was the case with actor Vishwajeet Pradhan who was seriously injured yesterday afternoon while executing a stunt scene on the sets of Ram Gopal Varma's film Rakta Charitra. The actor was apparently shooting the climax sequence for the film where his character was supposed to be shot dead. However the blast in the shot was so intense that he had a huge cut along his jaw line that required surgery. Post the incident on sets, he was admitted to an emergency ward and later shifted to the normal ward. A surgery was carried out later; with a reconstructive plastic surgery carried out to hide the scar. The sequence in question was apparently a normal blast scene that went haywire as the impact was very powerful, thus hitting the actor in the face, leaving him bleeding. Naturally, the actor and his wife are worried as the wounds require serious attention.

My laptop is getting hotter; it's signalling that something is going to pour like cats and dogs. It does. The sweet smell of Earth is stimulating. Time for some hot masala tea. It arrives sooner than I had expected. Mumbai rain is here to stay. My phone is kept on charging. Low battery life. And suddenly I hear 'tring tring'. I ignore for a few seconds. The reason - Too busy. But my instincts tell me that the call may change my day. I get up to receive it. The screen shows 'Katrina Kaif calling'. From today, I'll dream with my eyes open. UK's Harrow Observer columnist and Bollywood Hungama's London correspondent Devansh Patel talks to the hen that has yet another golden egg to her credit - Raajneeti. And didn't the stock markets just teach you something last week? Forget stocks...start investing in Katrina. That's a bullish rise. Wouldn't it be better if you were called the hen that lays golden eggs? (Laughs) That's a funny observation. Thank you. I think we all are really happy to see the fate of Raajneeti. None of us believed the results would've been like what we are seeing today. I never thought of Raajneeti breaking records. Is Raajneeti your toughest act ever? I've found a lot of my work challenging or equally challenging as Raajneeti. I found New York to be a great challenge. Even Ajab was challenging in a way. But because the content of Prakash Jha films is always serious, the role becomes tougher, realistic and serious. But the work and the effort you put into the film is equal. Yes, I'll have to agree that in Raajneeti, a lot of extra effort went into portraying my role. I had to get a particular manner of lingo for the film and I delivered it. Not even Kate Winslet has a consistency what Katrina Kaif has... (Laughs out loud) Wow! I'm trying to digest this one now. It's kind of weird in a way when you say whether I choose my scripts or the script chooses me. My mother always says that God has been kind to me. Out of the films I wanted to do, many of them haven't worked at the box office and the films that I landed up doing have somehow managed to do the trick. I have never panicked because I believe that what falls into place is going to be right for me. Sometimes I can be wrong and sometimes right, but I'm destined to do well at the box office. Did you underplay yourself in Raajneeti? No. I can say 'yes' and sound intelligent in front of you but the fact is that I haven't underplayed myself. From day one, I related to the script. I never thought I'd get to play the role with so many emotions and believe me, I would react to those in the similar way as to what I had reacted in the film. I just played myself more than I underplayed my role. Sometimes I can be wrong and sometimes right, but I'm destined to do well at the box office It's wonderful to see the collections in the U.K too... I think that is a really positive sign for everyone. Not just me, not just the cast and crew but the entire film industry. The myths and the stereo-types which I and you were discussing in Prakash's office pre-release have proved us wrong somewhere. What works is a good story. It's as simple as that. You'll be sharing your success with the Dostana 2 gang in London. Oh yes. It's been a long, long time that I've shot a film in my home town. I'm shooting Dostana 2 in London after Namastey London. I'm looking forward to work with Abhishek and John because I've worked with both these actors before. It's going to be a lot of fun. What about Aarakshan? We've discussed a few things but nothing has been locked as of now. I'm not sure which film does Prakash want me for. We've discussed quite a few films. So we'll have to wait and watch. Right now I've still got to finish Zoya's film which I'm shooting now in Spain. Then I've got Farah Khan's film with Akshay Kumar and then comes Dostana 2 and then Prakash's next.

More than 80 percent of Raavan has been shot in, under, around or below water

It has virtually been a case of jumping from the fire into the water for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. If fire is a recurrent motif in the cinema of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, water seems to be Mani Ratnam's favourite element. According to members of the cast in Raavan, more than 80 percent of the film has been shot in, under, around or below rain and water in the forests, rendering Raavan the most hydro-centric film in the history of Indian cinema. Says a member of the cast, "We were drenched to our skin constantly. Abhishek and Aishwarya were talking, dancing, singing, reciting poetry in the water." Abhishek's character of the outlaw even proposes to Aishwarya in the water. According to a source, there comes a point in the plot where the cop's wife (Ash) begins to get attracted to the outlaw (Abhishek) who kidnaps her. He proposes to her circling in the water instead of around the holy fire while Aishwarya stands at the river bank. Says the cast member, "It was almost like the two were getting married by taking their vows through the holy water rather than the fire." Most seriously affected by this extreme circle of fire and water created by her two favourite directors is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She was heard saying to a friend that she has virtually gone through an ordeal by fire and by water. In fact, Abhishek and Aishwarya have worked so extensively in the water for Raavan that they don't wish to do even a rain song in the near future.
