Director Tarun Mansukhani is currently busy writing the script of his next film which happens to be the sequel to his smash-hit flick Dostana. Tarun, who is quite active on social networking site Twitter, recently posted a pic of the first page of the script of Dostana 2 for viewers to see and read. However, when excited viewers clicked on the link, it turned out to be nothing more than this pic which shows just the front cover stating 'Karan Johar presents Dostana 2â¦Written and Directed by Tarun Mansukhani'

Though Soha is most excited about is her first film with her mother the ever-gorgeous Sharmila Tagore in Sangeeta Dutta's Life Goes On surprisingly working with her mom is something Soha doesn't want to do again in a hurry.
Says Soha excitedly, "It's my first film with mom. Hopefully, we won't have to face the camera in a hurry again. In spite of having years of experience playing her daughter the experience of doing it for the camera just unnerved me."
This, in spite of the fact that Sharmila chose to be very restrained on the sets. "Normally when it comes to shooting, my mom is usually very hands-on. But this time she just let it be. She did take a keen interest in my clothes makeup, etc. But once we faced the camera she let the director Sangeeta Dutta do all the directing."
Soha listened to her mother about the clothes. "Because she has great taste. But it's so morbid I've become petrified about losing my mother after doing a film on a daughter losing her mom."
As for love, Soha isn't naming anyone. But she admits she's not single. "I'm seeing someone. It's still in the early stages. And it's great fun."Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 12 May 2010 | 6:37 am Akshay hits cop car in Canada by mistake

Only couple of days ago producer Karan Johar and debutant director Punit Malhotra had revealed the first look of their forthcoming film I Hate Luv Storys (IHLS) on popular social networking site Twitter. The first look featuring the lead pair of Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor at their casual best fetched an awesome response from one and all.
Building up the curiosity towards the film, director Punit Malhotra today revealed yet another poster from the film. This one shows a full-on romantic Sonam holding flowers and saying the evergreen romantic line "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai...Tum Nahin Samjhoge!!!" even as Imran looks bored and disinterested. Even though the film's release is still a while away (July 2nd), looks like the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote their film.Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 12 May 2010 | 5:20 am Twinkle Khanna chosen to endorse Micromax Mobiles?

Everyone knows Ajay Devgn's father Veeru Devgan is one of the foremost action-coordinators in the entertainment industry.
What is not that well-known is the fact the Ajay's favourite director Rohit Shetty is also the son of a famous action-coordinator. Rohit is the son of Shetty, the well-known stunt director and actor of the 1970s.
Shetty was not only the biggest most in-demand stunt director of the 1970s and 80s, but he was also famous for his villainous roles which he performed in tandem with his behind-the-camera job as an action director.
In a film that Rohit Shetty will direct in the second-half of 2010 with Ajay Devgn in the lead, the two men pay homage to their fist-friendly fathers who specialized in action sequences.
Says Rohit Shetty, "Isn't it only natural that Ajay and I get together for an action film? Action and stunts are in our genes. Ajay began his career with an action flick Phool Aur Kaante. In fact in Golmaal 2 I had replicated the scene of Ajay perched between two speeding motorbikes, his entrance scene in Phool Aur Kaante. During that film I was an assistant and that's where our friendship started."
The most interesting part of this action flick would be that all the action sequences and stunts would be directed by Rohit Shetty, with huge inputs from Ajay.
Says the director, "Yes me and my team will be directing the action. I believe the director knows best how the action scenes will carry the story forward. And I don't want the action scenes to be like items. They'll be carrying the story forward. By the way even my songs look aggressive enough to be considered action scenes."
Rohit says the stunts that Devgn will perform in this action film will be unlike anything seen before.
Says Rohit, "Like I said action is in my blood. I started my career in direction with an action film Zameen, and then did comedies. But you can't keep the Shetty out of me."
This action film will be dedicated to Ajay and Rohit's fathers.Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 12 May 2010 | 4:44 am I grew up watching Bollywood films: Noureen DeWulf
Source: NDTV Entertainment News | 12 May 2010 | 4:36 am "I have not antagonised Karan" - Sajid Khan [Part 1]
Housefull is a success and a huge money spinner at that. Still, rather than being ecstatic or seen jumping with joy, director Sajid Khan can be caught in a rather calm and composed mood. Maintaining the stance of 'I never had doubts around the success of Housefull and hence I stay on to be what I was before the film's release', Sajid Khan replies to some of the most pertinent queries that have come his way in the recent past. In the first of this two part conversation with Joginder Tuteja, Sajid Khan talks about the sheer differentiation factor between a hit and a flop film, the challenge that lies ahead in the biggies that would follow in 2010, some brickbats that he has faced for the climax of Housefull and rumours of him antagonising Karan Johar.
On the success of Housefull
The film has done exceptionally well across the world, People are watching it again and again. Eventually, it is business which is the most important factor because it indicates that people are liking the film. Business indicates that the film has become a blockbuster. I have been to cinemas and I can see that audiences are having a blast. My quotient is that blockbuster film means that people have liked it. A flop means that people haven't liked it. It's as simple as that. No good film can ever flop. Also, no bad film (with rarely an exception or two) can ever be a hit.
On his confidence as a filmmaker
I am extremely confident about the kind of films that I made. I don't think I would ever be stepping into a zone where I am unsure of a film's success. It should not be tricky. People expect general entertainment from films. I would rather play safe and make a blockbuster rather than not being safe and have my investors worrying.
On antagonising Karan Johar by stating that his Housefull will be the biggest money spinner of the year, hence pushing aside My Name Is Khan
I have not antagonised Karan. He and I have been friends for 15 years. Same holds good for Shah Rukh too. I would never ever dream of saying something that would hurt a friend. I am friend's friend. What happened was that on being asked whether Housefull would be the biggest hit of the year, I said 'Yes, I am confident'. When I was further told that so far, MNIK was the biggest hit with Rs.74 crore in India, I again said that at least in India, Housefull will do much more. I also said that in overseas I had no chance because there, Karan and Shah Rukh are a multi billion dollar entity. By no means I was looking at antagonising anyone. And if I have done that, then I am sorry. In fact Karan and I spoke about this two days back and had a hearty laugh over it.

Darsheel's super-hero film Zokkomon was expected to hit theatres ahead of his other release Bumm Bumm Bole.
So how did Bumm Bumm Bole end up getting first priority?
Says Darsheel, "I don't know why Zokkomon is held up. Both the films were clashing. I don't know why Bumm Bumm Bole is coming first. I just want my fans to love me in both films. I don't know when Zokkomon is releasing. At the moment these are the only two films I have on hand. After Zokkomon I may not have time off from my studies. So I may not be able to do another film for a while."
In fact Darsheel's family was keen that the child prodigy's other solo starrer Zokkomon release before Bumm Bumm Bole. Darsheel constantly spoke about Zokkomon as his post-Taare Zameen Par release.
Percept Ltd had to step in and rush-release Bumm Bumm Bole before Zokkomon.
Says Shailendra Singh of Percept, "We did indeed take steps to make sure our film comes first. When we heard Zokkomon was releasing first we revved up our release. We wanted Bumm Bumm Bole to be Darsheel's first release after Taare Zameen Par. In the West, it's quite common to get hold of books featuring the screenplays of some of the really popular films. However, closer home, the trend of releasing the official screenplay of a film in the form of a book is not too common.
Late last year, Vidhu Vinod Chopra launched the book 'Lage Raho Munnabhai- The Original Screenplay' which featured the complete screenplay of the cult classic. Now the maverick filmmaker plans to continue this tradition even further and plans to release books of not just films made under his banner but also of timeless classics like Mother India, Pyaasa, Kagaz Ke Phool etc. These books will not just feature the original screenplay of the film but also sections such as deleted scenes, casting process and everything else that went into the making of the film. The books will be released through a new division created under Vidhu Vinod Chopra's banner.
The first film to be catalogued in this form will be Chopra's blockbuster 3 Idiots. When contacted, Vidhu Vinod Chopra confirmed the news saying, "Yes, I wish to catalogue the screenplays of classics."
One will have to wait and watch if other filmmakers also follow suit in documenting the screenplays of their films in the form of a book.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 11 May 2010 | 6:47 am Sajid Khan's next to be an 'emotional action entertainer'
Sajid Khan is ready to embark on his next outing. After making a family entertainer Heyy Babyy and an out and out comedy Housefull, both of which have seen good revenue being generated at the box office, Sajid Khan will now be beginning work on, in his own words, an 'emotional action entertainer'. The filmmaker will soon be beginning narration with actors and a formal announcement is pretty much on the anvil.
Confirming the information, Sajid nods in agreement. He says, "Yes, I have the basic idea ready and now that Housefull has released, I am setting up narrations with actors. This film won't really be a comedy per se and I would be getting into something which is more large scale action and emotion. Having said that, overall the film would be an entertainer with comedy being a part of it."
Sajid maintains though that the film would be mounted on a huge scale. "It will be a big budget entertainer for sure", he says.
While he tags the film as an 'emotional action entertainer', what exactly does that signify?
"See, I don't believe in action without emotion", he begins to elaborate, "An action scene always holds more credibility when it comes along with emotions. Let me state an example. When Sunny Deol removes a pump from the ground, audience gets charged because there is so much emotional connect in that scene. You can't have action just for the sake of it. It should not be mindless."
Just like Heyy Babyy and Housefull, would his third film also see Sajid Nadiadwala as the producer?
"I am absolutely cool about making a film with him again", Sajid says in a matter of fact, "If Sajid asks me to do a film for him; I will go ahead and begin work. Frankly, he is one of the Top-3 producers that we have in the industry today. The way he mounts the film and the manner in which he brings it to public is an art by itself."
Still, Sajid doesn't deny that he is open to the idea of working with other production houses. "Absolutely", he smiles, "As long as I get the right production house, I will be game for it."
And would Akshay Kumar be a part of his film? Yet again? "Well, I hope that he agrees to work with me again", winks Sajid before signing off.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 11 May 2010 | 4:06 am Veteran actor Mac Mohan passes away
One of the evergreen dialogues that has made and shaped Bollywood as to what it is today happens to be 'Arre O Samba...Kitne aadmi the'... from the evergreen cult film Sholay. The irony of life is that while this dialogue happens to be immortal, the mortal 'Samba' in question, passed away yesterday, as he lost his battle to the dreaded cancer.
While Samba was his screen-name in Sholay, his original name was Mac Mohan and he remained famous for his most stylish beard even then. Having started his 'Bollywood ka safar' with the film Haqeeqat in the year 1964, Mac Mohan acted in over 190 films over a period of a whopping 46 years. Some of the most prominent films in which he acted include Don, Sholay, Karz, Satte Pe Satta, Zanjeer, Rafoo Chakkar, Shaan... to name a few. His last film was Bombay To Goa: Laughter Unlimited, however, he also did a cameo after that in Luck By Chance. Very few people know the fact that, besides being one of the finest actors, Mac Mohan also happens to be the maternal uncle of Raveena Tandon.

Ever since he lost the opportunity to be a part of Raj Kumar Hirani's 3 Idiots, Ranbir Kapoor has been looking for a reason to visit the Indian Institute Of Management (IIM) in Bangalore where the film was shot.
Ranbir has been telling friends, he didn't mind missing out on the movie. But he did mind not being able to visit the IIM campus in Bangalore.
The opportunity to do so fell into Ranbir's lap. He visited the IIM Bangalore on May 10 for an inter-face with students on the subject of Youth & Politics.
And Ranbir took no chances. He had been preparing hard for the big day in Bangalore.
The topic of discussion was, 'Should graduation be a compulsory qualification for entering politics?'
Katrina and Ranbir argued against it, that graduation need not be compulsory.
While Katrina Kaif who accompanied him to the IIM preferred the casual extempore approach, Ranbir wanted to get all the statistics on the subject so that he didn't end up looking silly and ill-informed in the academic atmosphere.
Director Prakash Jha who accompanied Katrina and Ranbir is very impressed by Ranbir's homework. "In fact he has been working the hardest to promote our film Raajneeti.
While the rest of the cast has missed a couple of events, Ranbir has made sure he is there for everything. In fact when one or the other of our team is missing, Ranbir grumbles about why he's the only constant."Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 11 May 2010 | 3:19 am
