Westwood, Mickelson Lead Masters After Day 3

Steady Lee Westwood finished the first 54 holes 12 under par, but mercurial Phil Mickelson managed two eagles and a birdie in three holes on the back nine to sprint within a stroke of the leader. His second consecutive round of two-under 70 keeps him within striking distance of front-runners Lee Westwood and Phil Mickelson.

Birdies were available to be made at Augusta National as Tiger Woods and playing partner K.J. Choi made their way to the first tee for their 2:35 p.m. tee time. They were in today's next-to-last pairing, ahead only of co-leaders Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood.
