Terry Richardson Shot the Jersey Shore Boys Right

After much teasing, Terry Richardson's photos of the males of Jersey Shore are on Interview's site. The spread, appropriately titled "Hard Shore," begins with the boys feeding Bar Refaeli a sandwich, the Situation's pants disturbingly undone. From the accompanying article:

MARTIN: What won’t you do?
SORRENTINO: I don’t understand.
MARTIN: Will you accept any appearance offer?
SORRENTINO: Not any appearance. I have my management team take care of that. They usually make the right decision for the team: Team Situation.

Moving on, Pauly D looks spectacular from behind, with leopard underwear practically painted on. From his interview:

MARTIN: Do you have any role models?
Delvechio : Not really.

Photo: Interview

And lastly, Ronnie got to use his huge muscles. From his Q&A:

MARTIN: Did you enjoy the photo shoot?
Orti z-Magro : It was good. I’m comfortable in front of the camera. It’s uncomfortable not to be in front of the camera now. They had us posing with a weight bench; some of us were dancing with Bar Refaeli. I curled her, bench-pressed her. She liked it.

If You Kiss Your Friend, You Can Come to T-Pain’s Place

Listen to this new T-Pain song “Kiss Her,” embedded below, then come back up here, and then ask yourself: How has someone not already made a song appropriating the popular childhood tease “[Person A] and [Person B] sitting in a tree/k-i-s-s-i-n-g” into an aggressively discomfiting song about threeways? It is exactly for reasons like this that T-Pain was manufactured by benevolent-but-bottom-line-minded music-industry scientists. (Our favorite part is when he goes “I wanna see you kiss your friend/kiss her like you mean it/and if you do it, you can come to my place.”) You know, at first we thought the Auto-Tune king was for sure waging a losing battle when he decided to name his new album Revolver, but since it turns out “Kiss Her” is almost as good as “Dr. Robert,” we’re reconsidering.

Note: Usually we minimize these YouTube links, but since the still is T-Pain riding an elephant, it just didn't feel right.

Garance Doré Vague on the Concept for Her and Scott Schumann’s Television Show

In December, Sartorialist Scott Schumann said he might land a television deal, but there were negotiations going on at the time. However, it sounds like he finally signed on for one. His girlfriend and fellow blogger, Garance Doré, tells the Huffington Post she's "working on a TV show with Scott."

We don't know yet exactly what form it's going to have. It's the same thing: why would we do a classic TV show, when the world is changing? And the world of media is changing? So we are working on the concept. We want something that talks to the people very easily and that you can see on the Internet.

What does that mean? A reality show based on their lives, perhaps titled, Scott and Garance: Between the Lenses ... and the Sheets? Which we would actually love to see, on Bravo of course.

Not quite. She adds:

Well, I think it will be based on what we see. And the world is in such little pieces now and you take your information from everywhere. I'd like to go ask people I trust, "Who's a great musician?" and then maybe meet the musician and then do the same with fashion or food. I think it will be more fashion-oriented. But my dream project is to do a movie.

That is so like Internet people. As soon as one thing happens, they're on to the next faster than you can say blog! She really gets the digital age. Maybe she should give Scott a refresher course.

Nussbaum: David Simon As Irascible As Ever

David Simon's new show, Treme, premieres this Sunday on HBO, but just because critics are throwing out words like "humor" and "uplifting" doesn't mean the Wire creator's lost his edge. If you've not yet read Emily Nussbaum's profile of Simon in this week's New York, we'd highly advise you to do so. In it, we learn how he handles notes on the show from HBO ("Don’t you network me! That could’ve been a note from CBS!"), what he thinks of Showtime's Dexter ("It offends me, I have to say"), and the first line of his inaugural humor column at the University of Maryland student newspaper ("Eat flaming death, you pig dog lackeys"). Print it out if you're still at work! Then stop back on Monday morning for our recap of Sunday's Treme.

Scott Schuman’s Fantasy Fashion Blogger Spread for Vogue Pelle

One upon a time, Vogue Pelle fashion director and "Sartorialist Super-All-Star" Giovanna Battaglia took a picture of street-style blogger Garance Doré taking a photo of her, while Scott Schuman in turn took Doré's photo. So it was a fashion editor shooting a fashion blogger shooting a fashion blogger! Like the food chain! Or something. This gave Battaglia an idea to have Schuman shoot a fashion spread inspired by the "cool blogger girl." Schuman writes on his blog the Sartorialist:

Giovanna loved the idea of the photographer/blogger being more stylishly dressed than the subjects of the photo ... which sometimes is the case!

Hahahaha. Right. We go to the shows with heinous bags under our eyes, jeans, gross combat boots, and free cookies in our overstuffed, overused bags. Because Fashion Week is tiring and we don't have black cars or stamina or Fashion Week wardrobe allowances. But let's take a look at Vogue Pelle's fashion-blogger fantasy spread in the slideshow!

Syracuse Students Protest Jamie Dimon by Dancing, Facebooking

A group of Syracuse students is protesting the university's choice of lush-lipped, smooth-talking, upstanding JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon as commencement speaker this year, due to the recent bailout of the banks, the banking industry's raping of the economy at large, and the "anti-environmental and anti-humanitarian interests of JPMorgan Chase" in general. The group leading the charge is Students for a Democratic Society, an incarnation of the group of the same name whose nonviolent protests against segregation and the Vietnam War made a lasting impact in the sixties, so you might imagine that these students are planning on demonstrating their views in a powerful, moving way.

You would be wrong. On April 14, for example:

The protest will be in the form of a dance party called the “Take Back Commencement Rally.”

Also, they have a Facebook group. But you know, please. If these kids don't want Jamie to come to their school, we think it's because they haven't seen the above photo.

Japanese Astronaut Dons Custom-Designed Cardigan for Space

Further confirmation that the Japanese know how to travel in style: Before blasting off on a thirteen-day mission to the International Space Station on Monday, astronaut Naoko Yamazaki requested that Japanese designer Tae Ashida create a custom outfit for her journey. Ashida called the commission "a dream come true" and settled on a light-blue knit cardigan paired with navy-blue shorts. The design, she felt, conveys "a sense of grace … so that [Yamazaki] can feel at ease as she carries out a tough mission in a male-dominated, bleak atmosphere." Comic Books, to Nicolas Cage, Are the Jungian Archetypes for the Modern Age

"Comic books, to me, are Jungian archetypes for the modern age." —Kick-Ass star Nicolas Cage [MTV]

"Oh, honestly, I don't care anymore. Honestly, I don't give a fuck. We've done the best we could ... [laughing] I think this might be my farewell to the musical theater." —Nathan Lane on Broadway show The Addams Family [Daily Beast]

"I feel bad for them. They have it worse than anybody on the planet." —Gwyneth Paltrow on Brangelina and the paparazzi [Harper's Bazaar]

"One day, someone said to me, 'Do you want to go jump out of an airplane?' I felt like I had nothing to lose anymore, so I said, 'Why not?' And every day since then, I ask myself that question." —Shania Twain on her new show, Why Not? With Shania Twain [Oprah via People]

"'Woah! I can barely fit my dick in my pants!' ... I am a big prude. Nobody understands what it took for me to sing that line." —Meatloaf, singing a lyric from his upcoming album [Times Online UK]

"Latinas have struggled in Hollywood for a very long time to be seen as something other than the stereotypical maid, gardener, cholo, Pregnant Girl No. 5. I've been on those auditions. It's about getting rid of those labels. ... A young Latina girl as the center of a network television show? That just wasn't a reality, and now it is. And of course there was the depiction of Betty's young nephew. That was a huge challenge to stereotypes. Homosexuality is so unaccepted in Latino culture. To portray a Latino family that loves and supports and accepts this child for who he is was incredibly groundbreaking." —Ugly Betty star America Ferrera [Time]

Video Tour: A Sneak Peek at the Trump Soho

Trump Soho, the condo-hotel project vociferously opposed by activist group Soho Alliance and whose architectural chops have been seriously questioned, opens for business today. Hospitality-industry blog HotelChatter gives its interiors a thumbs up, and sources say the hotel's nearly booked for the weekend. That's a marked difference from sales of the condo-hotel's units — the rooms are on the market, though owners can't technically stay more than 120 days in one year — which press reports have characterized as sluggish, at best. (We hear closings are expected soon.) We took a sneak peek last Wednesday, hours before it made its debut at a press party. Here's the big reveal …

New Housewife Jennifer Gilbert Sues New York Matchmaking Business; Gerunds Involved

Jennifer Gilbert, who makes her debut on Real Housewives of New York City this season, has already begun stirring up drama by filing a lawsuit against a New York–based matchmaking business, Save the Date(ing), for trademark infringement against the title of her own event-planning company, Save the Date. Hattie Elliot, the founder and CEO of Save the Date(ing), is baffled by the new housewife’s action: “She is coming after a start-up company that has nothing to do with weddings or corporate events and attempting to shut us down,” she wrote in an e-mail. “There are over 100 companies with the name Save the Date. I literally have no idea why she’s coming after us.” Would Elliot be interested in appearing on the reality show if the litigation process became a point of drama? “Absolutely not.”

When reached via e-mail, Gilbert said that she was unable to comment on pending litigation and referred us to her lawyer, Zeynel Karcioglu, who called the suit “an ordinary corporate matter” and said that it won’t be featured on the show. “Generally, it’s Save the Date’s policy to enforce its IP rights,” he explained. “This is unfortunately within the day-to-day for us.” Isn’t there a glaring difference between the wording of the two company titles? “That’s for the court to decide.” Gilbert copyrighted the name of her event-planning company in 1999 and filed a similar case in 2008 against Save the Date Event Consultants. That company is now called Sonal J. Shah Event Consultants.

The Other Guys Trailer: Bad Cop, Fake Cop

Will Ferrell has always been one of those guys whose face is just funny. You look at his face and you (probably) laugh. Or at least your mom does. And ever since The Happening and Andy Samberg's "Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals" sketches on SNL, Mark Wahlberg's face has just become funny, too. So even though the new trailer for Adam McKay's cops-who-are-bad-at-being-cops comedy The Other Guys is basically just two and a half minutes of Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg acting angry and immature in very physical, over-the-top ways, it's working for us. It's kind of what Adam McKay does best (see: Step Brothers).

Adam Lambert Has a Karl Lagerfeld Approach to Men’s Jewelry

Adam Lambert, with his raccoon guyliner, body glitter, and spiky, studded clothes, rightly describes his style as glam. “Glam is as much an attitude as it is an aesthetic,” he said at a recent Paper magazine photo shoot. “When I put together my own things, I just put as many rings and as many necklaces on as possible,” he explained, as if channeling Karl Lagerfeld, another man so enamored with men's jewelry that his workspace houses bowls and drawers of trinkets. “I don’t really stop, I take it as far as I can take it.” Yes, go there, Adam. Go far. [StyleWatch/People]

Sarah Palin Wants to Know Where President Obama Got His Nuclear Expertise

Sarah Palin is nothing if not a good self-promoter, and after President Obama mocked her credibility on nuclear-weapons issues last night, she was bound to embrace the opportunity to further escalate the war of words with her big, highly anticipated speech to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference today. And she did, by questioning President Obama's own nuclear expertise. "Now, the president, with all the vast nuclear experience that he acquired as a community organizer, and as a part-time senator, and as a full-time candidate, all that experience, still no accomplishment to date with North Korea and Iran." The rest of the speech was really nothing special. Palin talked about energy policy; quoted Bill Clinton's notorious "fairy tale" line; took a swipe at the optics of Obama's nuclear-policy announcement by, oddly enough, basically describing George W. Bush's "Mission Accomplished" disaster; and, oh yeah, made yet another palm-notes joke. Check out the best parts in less than two minutes.

Kate Moss Exhibition CANCELED

The Musée des Arts Decoratifs announced in September of 2008 they would host an exhibition dedicated entirely to Kate Moss. The exhibit was delayed last year after the museum had trouble securing funding. However, the museum decided today to cancel the exhibit entirely "given the economic situation."

Surely it can't be that hard to find a place that will house a couple hundred photographs of Kate Moss. If Paris doesn't want it, surely Topshop could do some sort of traveling thing in its stores. At least that way we could view them to a D.J.

Party Lines: Nathan Lane Explains His Gomez Accent and Mustache at The Addams Family's Opening Night

All it took was an accent and some facial hair for Nathan Lane to get into the character of Gomez Addams for the new Addams Family musical on Broadway, which opened last night at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The accent is "a little combination of Billy Crystal doing Fernando Lamas and Antonio Banderas doing the Nasonex bee," he explained to us at the opening. As far as his new pencil mustache, he said it's hard to maintain, but at least his friends like it. "They've seen facial hair before. It's not, like, frightening." They did call him on it, though: "[They said] 'Is that an anchovy on your lip, or did you grow a mustache?'" See more in our Party Lines slideshow.

Gossip Girl Is Chuck Out of Luck

This week's Gossip Girl had our characters wearing all black for a game of assassin. Little did we know that this wardrobe choice was actually foreshadowing the state of mourning we would be in after the breakup of our beloved Blair and Chuck. Even after such a devastating event, you were quick to point out this week's reality faux pas, from Nate having friends at Columbia to the entire Empire Hotel plotline. There was also much discussion about the proper etiquette for wearing an engagement ring, the fact the show doesn't seem to employ enough hairstylists (forcing at least one of the leading ladies to sport botched hair extensions), and resounding joy at the return of young Eric. Your best comments are below, compiled by legallybecks.

Realer Than Serena Thinking Toads Are Reptiles
• Elliot finds an excuse to talk about the fact that Eric lives in the penthouse pretty early on. I sense gold digging ... Plus 10 for the Lily's eventual talk with Eric about protecting their cash. It's basically the WASP version of the "birds and bees." — delawhere16

• The VanDerWoodsen apartment has photos of each individual family member alone. Aren't family photos supposed to be wedding pics or something with more than 1 person in it? Plus 10 because Lily is that self involved to fill her apartment with pictures of her by herself. — annie_in_ny

Plus 10 for the writers finally acknowledging the length of a subway ride from Brooklyn, as Vanessa asks Dan to read her entire script on the way back to Manhattan. — bliz7734

Plus 10 for Eric looking like the Keebler Elf in the Assassins game. Was he hiding in the tree house? — robcamposlovepaige

• Rufus attempts to understand Eric's social life. Plus 2 because next thing you know, Eric will be rejecting his friend requests on Facebook. — clairesque

Plus 10 for Jenny's face when calculating the 5 hours she has to try and sleep with Nate because in teenage girl world this totally seems reasonable and not at all desperate. — hoover19

• "For instance, it would not have been a good idea for me to tell Serena how I felt about every outfit she wore" - Dan Humphrey, Plus 5 because I'm pretty sure they just make this show for us now. — lmcmlove

• Dan uses a typewriter as evidence of his proletariat Brooklyn roots? And maybe because he read the same interview I did, where Ethan 'goatee grosser than Uncle Jack's' Hawke said he did the same as a show of authenticity? Plus 5. — bob5

• There was an abundance of doormen in this episode. It's clear whose side the writers are on in this doorman strike. Plus 20 for being so of the times. — kdow3

• Blair: "I never thought the worst thing you'd ever do would be to me." Plus 100. Because dating bad boys will bite you in the ass every time... — cnphair

• OF COURSE A DORK LIKE RUFUS WOULD USE HORRIBLE BING. Of course he would. And think he had found "this new awesome thing that searches all of the Interwebs for you!". And brag about it like he just discovered Uranium. Of course he would. Plus 5 — rebeccarose2004

• Of course Jenny wasn't worried about Nate or anyone else killing her--not many people in NYC carry around silver bullets. Plus 5 — hookedonbass

Faker Than Jack Being a Dude Who Doesn't Kiss and Tell
Minus 1000 for "all Nate's Columbia friends". If that were true, the only person there would be whatever geek Nate pays to do his homework, take his exams, and sit in on his classes. — thenextmrsbass

• Why is Dorota wearing her engagement ring on her right hand? Didn't Beyonce teach her anything? — twinsfindme

• Grandfather does NOT get blown off for someone with extensions as ratty as Jenny's. Minus 3.— purpleandgreen

• Ugh why does everyone stay in those stupid hats even after the Assasin game is over? Normal high school/college, the second a silly costume is not absolutely required, it is thrown in a garbage and you start praying that the pictures don't end up in your yearbook. Minus 10 — cellardoor

• And furthermore, minus 5 for the influx of wannabe-GG high schoolers who will now be playing this game and disturbing the peace. — txm07

• Why doesn't it matter that jack having sex with Blair is barely a year out of being completely illegal? Minus only one because its not like anyone even acknowledges anymore that they're FRESHMAN IN COLLEGE. — penguinfan07

• Serena leads Nate upstairs with handcuffs... but they are still at the Waldorf's. Is everyone just sleeping at everyone's homes? Has the upper east side turned into a brothel? Minus 5 — nagaem

• Blair's delivery of the line "All I ever did was love you" was completely tragic; now Blair is just an average, overly-emotional college freshman girl. Minus 10 because Blair would find the inner strength to say something less cliche even in the darkest moment. — sandals_are_not_shoes

• Jack Bass's handwriting is comic sans font? Minus 5 — isgoodatmath

• Jack used to be hot in a dirty, Bass way but with the facial hair he looks like an even douchier Brad Pitt and it's hard to take anything he says seriously. Minus 5 — spelumbia

Minus 100 for Vanessa telling Dan to "write what he knows" as a criticism of his hobo-wins-lottery play. He's from Brooklyn. No one does poverty like Brooklyn. This is also clearly a play about Rufus. — pradamarfa

• Blair's lingerie was cute, but she would never wear black ruffly boy-shorts under a silk dress. That's a very basic fashion faux pas, she would bitchslap a minion for even thinking of it. Minus 5 because even in times of emotional despair, Queen B's fashion sense never falters. — nurseluvbass

• Is there a quota on supporting characters and Van der Woodsens? Dorota is back, Eric finally shows up, and now Lily has been missing without a word about it? It's September all over again! Minus 5.— emmyloser

Former Merrill Lynch Executive Forced to Declare Bankruptcy Just to Keep a $14 Million Roof Over His Head

Fuscone, in 1991. How did things go so wrong for this tan man?

One of the freakiest — maybe the freakiest — things about this recession is how it has revealed the extent to which everyone in this country has been living beyond their means, even the people that you would least expect to be. Last year, it was reported that Goldman Sachs was bailing out employees who had overspent in the overheated market. And this Wednesday, Richard Fuscone, a former top executive at Merrill Lynch who retired to "pursue personal and charitable interests" in 2000, declared personal bankruptcy in order to stop the foreclosure of his 18,471-square-foot, eleven-bathroom Westchester mansion. "I have been devastated by the financial crisis which came to a head in March 2008," Fuscone wrote in his bankruptcy filing, which was obtained by Daily Intel. "I currently have no income."

We aren't quite sure what led him to this point, but from what we've found, it's shaping up to be a weird little story.

Fuscone, who has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and attended Harvard Business School, had a brush with the law in the early nineties — he was accused, along with other executives at Merrill, of securities fraud, for selling Orange County, California risky derivatives that caused it to go bankrupt. But he went on to become a shining star at Merrill, and eventually worked his way through the ranks to become their head of Latin America.

"Mr. Fuscone's group has consistently developed innovative products that are attractive to corporate sellers and investor buyers," wrote Crain's, which included him in their "40 Under 40" list in 1991, adding that Fuscone was "viewed by company insiders as a winner." Upon his retirement, then-CEO David Komansky praised him for his "business savvy, leadership skills, sound judgment and personal integrity."

Fuscone was also active philanthropically. Just five years ago was being feted for making a major donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. He even started an investment-advisory firm, Dover Management, specifically to take positions in ethical companies. Ethical companies, however, did not make the kind of money that could keep Fuscone in the lifestyle to which he had become accustomed, so he eventually joined Greenwich securities firm Weeden & Company as the managing director of their fixed-income division.

It's unclear when that position ended: The person who answered the phone at Weeden & Company confirmed to Daily Intel that Fuscone no longer worked there, but wouldn't comment further and hung up when pressed.

Clearly, something went very wrong. This past summer, Fuscone and his wife, Marjorie, were forced to sell their 5.5-bath home in Palm Beach, which they'd purchased in 2003 for $4.85 million, for $4.61 million, following a foreclosure action by Northern Trust Bank.

Soon after, in November, the Fuscones listed their Armonk, NY, mansion for $13.9 million, in hopes of avoiding foreclosure. But no one, apparently, was in the market for a mansion with two swimming pools, two elevators, six fireplaces, eleven bathrooms, and a seven-car garage, forcing the Fuscones to declare bankruptcy just to stop their lender, Houston-based Patriot Bank, from foreclosing and keep a roof — or, from looks of the picture, roofs — over their heads.

Also on Fuscone's list of creditors owed: Mercedes, Saks, and J. Crew.

Major Source of White Babies for Yuppie Parents May Be Cut Off

Russian officials today proposed a suspension on all American adoptions, hoping that a block of babies from their country going to parents in the United States would stop instances like the upsetting tale of a 7-year-old boy who was recently returned to the country. After a few months of care, the adoptive mother in Tennessee sent the boy back to Russia alone on a plane, with a note claiming the child has psychological problems. A note. From the Times:

The case of the boy, Artyom Savelyev, who was named Justin by his adoptive American mother, attracted widespread attention here, underscoring the acute sensitivity of the issue. Russians feel humiliated that their country, which they perceive as a world power, cannot take care of its own children and has to give them up to foreigners. Russia was the third leading source of adoptive children in the United States in 2009, with 1,586, following China, with 3,000, and Ethiopia, according to State Department figures.

Apparently fourteen Russian children have died of abuse by American parents over the past fourteen years. While that's a tiny proportion, the Times explains that these tragedies have had a strong affect on Russian perception.

THIS IS TOTALLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR HOME OR ANYWHERE PLEASE JUST DO NOT EVEN WATCH IT

The following video is terrible.  It is disgusting and offensive and disturbing.  But it is so overwhelmingly disturbing that it is, in fact, undeniably remarkable and history making.  First of all, the title of the video is “P***y Eating 101.”   And while there are no actual female parts involved in the video, (I don’t think there were any female parts even within 35 miles of where this was filmed) it is still somehow more pornographic than actual porn.  The whole thing is just a guy sitting in front of a camera and performing pantomime cunnilingus while My Heart Will Go On plays in the background.  Click on the horrifying screen shot if you want to watch the video which, I MUST WARN YOU ONE LAST TIME, YOU DO NOT WANT TO WATCH!!

I told you not to watch that.  I don’t know what you want me to do.  You were warned.  I think this guy does a better tutorial though.

The Arrested Development Movie is The Ross and Rachel Of My Generation

Is the movie going to happen?  Is it not going to happen?  Is the movie going to marry that weird British girl, Emily, or perhaps date Mark?  Well, it seems like for the time being, we finally have an answer.  Chandler Bing David Cross said in a recent episode interview with TVsquad.com that they really started turning the Ross character into a huge p***y around season 3 and the show never fully recovered in all likelihood the movie will not be happening.  He believes the general consensus to be that it’s just been too long since Arrested Development actually aired and everybody from the cast is working on his or her own thing.  But seriously…I never ended up watching the last few seasons of Friends.  Did Ross and Rachel end up together?  I know Chandler and Monica did, but I just never got caught up on the Ross/Rachel thing.  They had a kid together.  I know that much.
