"If you insist I look young then it could be because I play poker" - Dimple Kapadia

Dimple Kapadia As usual Dimple starts off by grumbling she has nothing to say. And if you must know the reason why she does so little work, it is because she isn't offered anything substantial. "Do you really think I am good? Please write that in your column. There aren't enough good scripts. It's not as if I'm flooded with offers. Whoever approaches me I do their film. Besides...I am lazy! There you finally got the honest truth out of me! I did Tum Milo Toh Sahi with Nana Patekar because I loved the script. I honestly need good scripts and directors. I just hope it happens soon." She perks up while talking about her new release Tum Milo Toh Sahi. "Bahut pyar se Kabir Sadanand ne film banaayi hai. Every scene is a labour of love. This is a film I'm very proud of. I loved my role. And so what if the director Kabir Sadanand made me look older on screen than I look in real? That's how I saw my character." So the next question? How does Dimple manage to look so young? She ponders over that one while waiting for lunch to arrive on the sets of Society. "Let me think of the formula. I sleep at 4 pm and get up at 2 am. No I'm just kidding. I've no clue as to why I look the way I am. People feel I look younger than my age. I don't feel that way. I think all my contemporaries are glowing these days. If you still insist I look younger than my contemporaries then it could be because I play poker, the others don't. That's the secret." Then she says with a loud sigh, "I don't know how you expect me to talk about myself. It's so vain and self-obsessed. I can't be like that. And you should really respect me for that. For being the person that I am." Dimple says she enjoyed working with Nana Patekar in Tum Milo Toh Sahi. "The last time we worked together was Krantiveer. It was wonderful meeting up with him again...its great working with Nana. When he's around on camera, I don't have to think about anything. He does all the thinking. Kahan se aana hai kya karna hai...We met after so many years. The reason I haven't kept in touch with colleagues is because I don't like imposing my attention on anyone."As usual Dimple starts off by grumbling she has nothing to say. "Tum Milo Toh Sahi bears has no resemblance to Life... In A Metro" - Rehan Khan

Rehan Khan He is the youngest amongst the bunch of actors who are sharing screen space in this Friday release Tum Milo Toh Sahi. While this Kabir Sadanand film is being spearheaded by Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia, Rehan Khan also has a major role to play in the film. Along with Anjana Sukhani, he fills in the cast of this multi starrer that has Suneil Shetty and Vidya Malvade playing the middle aged couple. Looking at such a combination of actors and an urban setting where it's the tale of relationships which is being brought to fore, the comparisons with Life...In A Metro are inevitable. Rehan Khan talks about the references to .... Metro, his contribution to the film, his relationship with his co-stars and a lot more as he gets chatting with Joginder Tuteja. In Tum Milo Toh Sahi, are you looking at your very own Life... In A Metro? Well honestly, Tum Milo Toh Sahi bears has no resemblance to Life... In A Metro. If people are comparing the two films then it is good because that film was quite nice and made by one of the most sorted directors (Anurag Basu) of the current times. Comparisons with good films are always welcome. Having said that, when people will see Tum Milo Toh Sahi, they will realise that it is not only as good as Life...In A Metro but at times even better. Eventually all three stories are definitely inter connected with each other Despite its theme, it appears that the film has ample light hearted moments, right? Oh absolutely, it is light hearted from reel one till last. The film has some of the most underplayed humour that you would have seen earlier. You may not burst out laughing but the film will throughout bring a smile on your face. And then Nana has his own sense of humour. There are some beautiful scenes between him and me. Dimple is just so fantastic. Eventually all three stories are definitely inter connected with each other though they have their own emotions, fear and happiness. Rehan Khan On one end there are youngsters like you and Anjana while on the other you have veterans like Nana, Dimple and Suneil. In such a scenario, how does a young Rehan make his presence felt? (Smiles) Well, a young Rehan acts in all honesty, a young Rehan is always raring to go and is full of energy and a young Rehan is always willing to take backseat when there are elders to lead the show. This is something that I will always do in every film of mine whenever there is a veteran actor starring in it. Come on yaar, they have been there and done that. I made my debut just three years back whereas these people have dozens of films behind that. This is why I like my director to take a decision on how he wishes to present his actors. There is no point me interfering in his work. Yes, I do hear sometimes that young actors also do that but I primarily sign a good film, take my money, act well, ensure that my producer is happy and that's about it. As we all can see that TMTS is the biggest release in town Well, talking about you being cool with the state of affairs, it didn't really seem to be the case when the film was announced first. Apparently, there were talks about all not being well between you and Raghav (Sachar) once he announced his presence in the film. Well, Raghav had given his announcement of signing TMTS though I believe he did consult with Kabir before doing so. It was agreed between all that none of us would ever do anything without asking Kabir. However, what instead happened was that once Raghav made this announcement, media speculated that he was the only hero while I was out of the film. That was quite a shocker for me. When they asked me for quotes, I just told them to reach out to the director. Anjana and I are best of friends and due to this very reason, there was no sense of nostalgia or anything So how are things with Raghav today? Absolutely perfect (laughs). He has done a brilliant job in the film and in fact his song 'Jaan-e-mann' is my favourite. I don't have any bad blood for him. At the end of the day Kabir is very sure about who are his six main leads in the film and as an actor I am not insecure at all. I am there in the posters and promos so that says it all. Having said that, Raghav and me are friends today; we know where we stand. Tum Milo Toh Sahi is seeing a delayed release. Wasn't it really frustrating to be sitting with a finished product in hand? One moves on in life yaar rather than thinking about such things. Having said that, as we all can see that TMTS is the biggest release in town. There are other films arriving as well but they are not seeing as huge a release as ours. Kabir, my producer Nikhil (Panchammiya) and distributors PVR have worked day in and night to ensure that we arrive big. Rehan Khan Meanwhile you also have competition from Luv (Sinha) who is making his debut with Sadiyaan... Luv is a newcomer and with all due respect, I know exactly the kind of fear that a debutant comes with. I wish him all the love and luck. Inshallah if I get time, I will take out time to watch Sadiyaan as well. By the way, you and Anjana are reuniting once again four years after Jaana - Let's Fall In Love. Some sense of nostalgia here? Trust me, Anjana and I are best of friends and due to this very reason, there was no sense of nostalgia or anything. Last few years have just gone by because we have been constantly in touch. When this film came to us, we just sat together, worked on the characters and participated in the workshops with Kabir. God has blessed us with a chance to do well and we are sure that we have delivered the goods. It's an opportunity for our pairing to go out and win hearts in a big way!

"JKSAH is a risky comedy and it'll work well" - Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez Jacqueline Fernandez is a true rarity. She emits a startled laugh. Projecting an air of such peachy comfort in her own skin, of open-minded clarity of thought, I can't quite tell if the laugh betrays something vulnerable. I hope not...actually not. I know this because I've 'dated' her. She is fun, frolic but definitely not frivolous. In just her second Bollywood offering, you can see the beautiful lady has gone that extra mile to make it in the big league. Then a passionate Jacqueline makes way for the optimistic and a zealous one. With uncertainty lingering around the box office windows in today's times, Fernandez comes across firm. She wants to keep on acting, she wants to win the Filmfare trophy soon, she wants to be as lucky as Katrina Kaif (that's what we gauge from her answer) but more importantly, she wants to stay in Bollywood, and she will, knowing that directors like Sajid Khan wanted her to do a special song cameo in his upcoming flick Housefull with Akshay Kumar and gang. UK's Harrow Observer columnist and Bollywood Hungama's London correspondent Devansh Patel chats with Bollywood's newest of diva's who is climbing the ladder of name, fame and fortune sooner than you ever expected her to. No wonder we land up asking the question the moment we see her, "Jaane Kahan Se Aaye Hain? " How alien are you in the world of Bollywood? (Laughs) I think when I first arrived, I was a complete alien who'd come directly from Venus (laughs). That's how I felt. But having said that, it didn't take me long to understand the industry, feel comfortable and accept the world's biggest movie producing nation. It was really weird, actually. It was pretty cool. So have you got more than what you've deserved in Bollywood so far? Well, I've definitely been lucky in Bollywood I should say. But I have worked very hard for what I have got. So I believe that you only get what you deserve. I have worked very hard for what I have got. So I believe that you only get what you deserve. Aladin and JKSAH. Films that weren't tried and tested before. Would you want to go back to the basics too? (Laughs) I am a pretty bizarre person myself and that's why I keep on attracting all these roles. We are actors and that's what we do. We do bizarre stuff sometimes. What keeps us alive and going is the fact that we can take on different roles and characters and have fun with it. It's pretty awesome that I've been able to do something different in both my films. And what's so different in JKSAH? It's story. It's a pretty fresh take on a love story. Love has no boundaries, love exists everywhere and it's full of excitement and fun. But then an Alien comes down from nowhere and that in itself is quite interesting. Even the director Milap Zaveri. He has brought a fresh approach to everything. He is like a bundle of joy all the time. JKSAH's theme is very unique. We've got a bunch of people working together including Sonal Sehgal and Ruslaan Mumtaz and Riteish Deshmukh and that too makes it quite a chaotic film in a way (laughs). Jacqueline Fernandez Will Jacqueline Fernandez be as lucky as Katrina Kaif? Oh! I don't know that. I think no one will be ever able to answer that question. I don't know if that'll happen. I am not really looking for that answer as of now. I'm just going with the flow right now because whatever happens happens. I'm sure there are people who do want to go to that level but I don't think it should stay in your mind all the time. Of course, who wouldn't want to be lucky at the level Katrina Kaif is. I'm sure she has worked really hard to reach the place she is at today. Talk about Riteish Deshmukh. Two films in a row. Yes, but there are so many actors who've worked with each other so many times. In my first film I was a bit nervous. There was Riteish Deshmukh and Amitabh Bachchan. Two big stars and I making my debut. But in my second film, I was so much more comfortable. I was with Riteish again. I could do everything in JKSAH what I couldn't while filming for Aladin. I was at ease. Plus, we also had a younger and a fresher crew this time around. It was bigger too. So we had a blast in JKSAH. Who wouldn't want to be lucky at the level Katrina Kaif is And his contribution in teaching you the Hindi language? (Laughs) Yes, Riteish is a good teacher. He wasn't bad. He definitely tries (laughs). He has always tried to help me. Sometimes if I don't get things in place, he'll be giving instructions on how to say the lines. He is cool and so is everyone, from my spot boy to my director. They've all been helpful in making an effort to teach me the language I was an alien to. I was a bit nervous as to people would make fun of me but when you think again, you see that the same people want to help you out with the language. Is Milap Zaveri a risk taker and a go-getter? Milap Zaveri came across as Sujoy Ghosh was. He is a risk taker and a go-getter. But all directors are risk takers. You are taking a risk by making any movie, big or small. There is no formula or a guarantee on what the audiences want today. Milap is trying to look for an alien coming down from space and looking for love. Isn't that risky? JKSAH is a risky comedy and it'll work well. What's good is the fact that directors like Milap and many others do what they are passionate about and what they believe in. I like that. I've been blessed with the two most energetic directors I've worked with - Milap and Sujoy. Milap is trying to look for an alien coming down from space and looking for love. Isn't that risky? In times like such, how optimistic are you for your film? We all have to be, seeing what's going on today with our audiences. Yes, there is no formula and guarantee for any film to work today. But we still go through our nerves and excitement. Post and pre release of Aladin, I didn't feel anything. I just felt it was an awesome experience. The experience was over powering everything else. Even with JKSAH, we all are coming together and that shows our optimistic nature towards a film we are a part of. A quick word about Sonal Sehgal and Ruslaan Mumtaz please. Sonal is my Bollywood girlfriend buddy (laughs). She is hilarious. We hit it off right from the day we met for the first time. She is like someone with whom I can go out and have a pizza and a chocolate cake and not feel bad about it (laughs). She has no airs. Ruslaan is a sweetheart. We've shot quite well together. He is fun too. We all got along very well. Jacqueline Fernandez Brief your experience on shooting for a special song in Housefull It was really nerve wrecking at first. More than anything, I was quite nervous about the fact that I was working with Farah Khan for the first time. The fact that Akshay Kumar was there too made me giddy. Then there were the producers, Nadiadwalas too. I could've gone mad. But I kept on convincing myself that I better do very well or else....I've worked my bu**s off. For this song, I was rehearsing the longest hours. It was that intense. But overall, the song has turned out really well. Any words from Akshay Kumar on your performance? You know what? People are always under the impression that actors like Akshay and many more give out the wise words of wisdom and tips. But they are just normal human beings giving their opinion. All actors are doing their job and going back home. That's how professional they are. Yes, everyone who was a part of this special song loved the way the song has turned out.

Wishing Ajay Devgn a very happy Birthday

Ajay Devgn Its not rocket science to know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. But today's Birthday boy is one 'son' who will never set. Instead, he has set many sparkling guidelines for others to follow and attain success! We are indeed talking about the one and only Vishal Devgn, whom we better know as Ajay Devgn, the illustrious son of the ace fight master Veeru Devgn. Even though he was a 'star-son', Ajay chose to 'earn' his launch in the form of his debut film Phool Aur Kaante, a film whose B-O collections, till date remains unparalleled! What followed after this were an array of films like Jigar, Divya Shakti, Platform, Dilwale, Naajayaz, Ishq, Pyaar Tho Hona Hi Tha, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Golmaal to name a few. Ajay Devgn is indeed one of the very few actors in Bollywood today who has (well deservedly) earned his position as a romantic hero as well as an action man! Today, the whole of Bollywood is waiting with bated breath for each and every film of his. That's what we call as 'Star-Power'. Akshay Kumar's Bollywood poster collection revealed

Akshay Kumar's secret hobby is revealed. For those who know Akshay for his stunts and acting skills, here's more news - Akshay's secret passion is to collect old Bollywood film and yesteryear stars picture posters. It's something even his closest friends didn't know "Akshay has been collecting these posters for years and has built himself a sizeable collection. In Action Replayy, Akshay plays the owner of a coffee house and when the set was being planned, director Vipul Shah mentioned that he wanted it to be a Bollywood themed cafe. They were searching for suitable posters but were getting only cheesy ones from the market. That's when Akshay Kumar revealed that he had many good posters in his personal collection but was in two minds about bringing them out of his house because he was afraid they would get damaged or lost. When Vipul took personal responsibility for them and assured Akshay that he would make sure each and everyone of them was handed back after the shoot, Akshay took him home and let him choose from his collection. Vipul then handpicked some posters," said our source. When contacted Vipul recounted, "We were not getting good posters and the problem kept cropping up in production meetings. We had absolutely no clue that Akshay had such a collection - it was a pleasant surprise." On his part, Akshay said, "Yes, it's true that I have lent some posters to Vipul because for the longest time, they couldn't source original ones."

"Pankh is a one day story of this guy who is confused about his sexuality" - Maradona

The famous 1986 Football World Cup. The infamous 'Hand of God'. Quarter Final between Argentina and England. Rings a bell? Where on one hand Diego Maradona scored the goal of the century, back in India, Maradona Rebello was born. Thanks to his father who kept his name Maradona after getting inspired by the Argentina - England match. Today, this young actor is making his debut opposite Bipasha Basu in the most talked about, controversial film of this year - Pankh Rebello is a rebel, when you meet him in person, you know he wants to spread his wings and fly, fly high in Bollywood. On the flip side, he too knows that before he learns to soar high in the sky, he needs to be rooted, grounded and a bit more careful in the big bad world of Bollywood. UK's Harrow Observer columnist and Bollywood Hungama's London correspondent met Maradona who shared his debut, his fears, his individuality and sexuality, his embarrassment, the censor board and the diva who repeatedly lingers in his mind even after the film is over - Bipasha Basu. Maradona is ready to kick some balls, but the only question is - Will he score well at the box office? Maradona and Bollywood Bollywood means stars. I am not a star yet. I am taking baby steps in the industry. I'd love to be here for the longest time. I have banked a lot on Pankh. I left my college while I was in my final year of BMM. I was doing my advertising from St Xavier's when I was offered to do this film. Miles to go before I sleep. Fears Initially I had a lot of fears. When I was signed on for this film, after they short listed me, took my auditions, and I was selected, I went chickened out. I was apprehensive in doing Pankh because I had a different Bollywood in mind, the cliche one with romance and drama. Pankh was way different. But when I got a script narration from my director Mr Sudipto Chatopadhyaya, I was completely bowled. I said 'yes'. Pankh Bipasha Basu I have to confess that Bipasha does come in my thoughts even after Pankh. That's the magic of a diva like Bipasha Basu. She is gorgeous. When she walks on the sets, you melt. But yet when I met her at her place, she was so simple and basic that the Bipasha on sets wasn't real. Before we started shooting, my director took me to a place where he assured me that I did not have to be scared and I did not have to be intimidated by Bipasha Basu. She was very sweet and helpful and took care of me. I couldn't have asked for a better co-star. Individuality & Sexuality In my personal life, I am a heterosexual. In the film too I play a heterosexual. The character I play in Pankh is of my past that is nagging me. It's not keeping me happy because my mother in the film played by Lilette Dubey cross dressed me when I was young. As a kid, your mind is so impressionable. Pankh is a one day story of this guy who is confused about his sexuality. I did have to push myself in wearing a girl's wig, putting on lipstick, etc. It was definitely odd. Embarrassment Yes, it was embarrassing shooting for Pankh, whether it was my nude scene in front of Lilette Dubey or my kissing scene with a man. My director also knew that I was a bit uncomfortable. When we shot the nude scene, the crew was kept to a minimum. But I was in safe hands at the end of the day. I never imagined that my debut would be in the form of Pankh. I am blessed. I also feel that if Pankh would've come immediately after Dev D, it could've worked better. But this is the right time for it to make it to the cinemas. Censor Board Even if the censors give an 'A' certificate to any film, they'll still come up with things like - 'This isn't good for the society.' So what are we to do? Directors are pushing the envelope and are coming out in the open and opposing the censor board. There should definitely be a better rating system. It's time that the directors don't want to compromise on their making.

Love-sick shayar Irrfan recites Gulzar's poetry to woo Priyanka Chopra

Irrfan Khan Priyanka Chopra who started shooting in Kashmir for Saat Khoon Maaf has her first of her 7 screen husbands, Irrfan Khan, frantically preparing for his part of a love-stuck poet. Irrfan had started his career as a film actor with the role of a love-stuck poet in Govind Nihalani's Drishti where he had got to make love to the older woman, the beautiful Dimple Kapadia. In Saat Khoon Maaf again, Irrfan plays a besotted lover-boy, this time wooing Priyanka Chopra. And to help Irrfan get passionately poetic, there's the inimitable Gulzar's poetry that would be used for Irrfan's character. Gulzar Saab has apparently written some of his most romantic lines ever for Irrfan to woo Priyanka with. A diehard Gulzar fan, Priyanka can't wait to be wooed with the luscious poetry that Irrfan would be reciting. The trick is to make Irrfan look much younger than his age for the role of the Cupid-challenged poet. The makeup artiste has been working since last week on Irrfan's face and body language to arrive at a look that would knock at least ten years off Irrfan's actual age. Says Irrfan, "I play a shayar who is completely in love with Priyanka Chopra. Yes, the makeup artiste has worked out a look around my strange face so that for the first time I look different. In any case if one has to woo Priyanka, one automatically glows with romantic enthusiasm. She's very inspiring." Says the actor, "I can't reveal any more about my character. But I must thank Vishal Bhardwaj for allowing me to court two of the most beautiful women on screen. It was Tabu in Maqbool and now Priyanka in this film."
