It sure looks that way. The erstwhile host of the The View and prolific blogger has teamed up with "syndication veterans" Dick Robertson and Scott Carlin and plans to launch a new talk show in the fall of 2011, which just so happens to be the same time that The Oprah Winfrey Show is going off air. The former president of Warner Bros. domestic TV distribution, Robertson previously worked with O'Donnell on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, which ran for six years from 1996 to 2002. The show is already being pegged as the favorite to replace Oprah on ABC and in the hearts of women across the world.

In an interview with MTV, Neil Patrick Harris said that Joss Whedon is hard at work at a sequel to one of the best Internet series ever, Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. And this one won't exist as a series of online videos but rather, as a feature film. NPH seems to know little about the film, but he says that he does know it will stick to the low-budget roots of the original. Now it's just a matter of lining up everyone's schedule. "Hopefully the stars will align," he said. If we may take a moment to speak directly to the stars: align! [MTV]

A federal judge shot down a settlement offered by the city to Ground Zero workers yesterday, saying it wasn't fair to the firefighters, police officers, and emergency workers who were sickened after working at the World Trade Center. The settlement, which would have given the victims somewhere between $575 million and $675.5 million, simply wasn't enough, U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein said.
Hellerstein also expressed concern over the amount of the settlement — about a third of it — that would eventually go to lawyers and how complicated the terms were. Hellerstein's impassioned decision, in which he described the workers as "our heroes," is making him into a bit of a hero himself among those workers, who are praising him as "compassionate" and "brave."

In response to a lawsuit filed against her by former producer and ex-boyfriend Rob Fusari, Lady Gaga fired back with a lawsuit of her own accusing Fusari of tricking her into signing an illegal contract. Fusari's suit, which asks for more than $30 million, says Gaga cut him out of her life, and more important, her earnings, after he came up with her stage name and co-wrote several of her songs. But Gaga's lawyers are all, nuh-uh.
They say the contract between Gaga and Fusari was never valid because he wasn't a licensed talent agent and that Fusari's actions were ultimately "predatory and financially abusive." Fusari's lawyer said the counter suit is "ludicrous," adding that "Rob was no more of an 'agent' for her than she is a Roman Catholic nun." He's got a point about Gaga not being a nun. She's a bloody nun!

The number of New Yorkers living on the streets and in the subway system rose 34 percent last year, the Bloomberg administration said yesterday in one of those late Friday announcements they hope people don't notice. Robert Hess, the commissioner of homeless services, blamed the sharp increase on the recession and the inability of city shelters to handle the influx. Conducted last month, the annual homeless count found 3,111 people on the streets or in the subway system, up from last year's 2,328. That's in addition to the 38,000 people living in city shelters. Thanks to some late-night wheeling and dealing by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrats are four votes closer to reaching the 216 they need to pass health-care reform tomorrow. As of late last night, four Democrats who voted against the original House bill in November have committed to supporting the bill this weekend. They are Florida's Representative Allen Boyd, Ohio's Representative John Boccieri, Florida's Representative Suzanne Kosmas, and New York's very own Scott Murphy. The representatives cited several different reasons for changing their votes, including CBO's estimate that the bill with cut the deficit by $138 billion. Curiously, none of them mentioned the late-night horse-trading. Curious!

Just as quickly as it surfaced, a rumor of a Glee stage show maybe headed to Broadway has been shot down by those grumps at Fox. A representative for the network tells Variety that there have been no talks between Fox and licensing company Music Theater Intl., as previously reported. "We are very careful and deliberate when contemplating brand extensions of our franchises," said Fox spokesman Chris Alexander. Anyway, they're too busy working on Family Guy on Ice to bother with this. [Variety]
