Ranbir Kapoor is known to get into the skin of his character. In Shimit Amin's next Rocket Singh- Salesman of the Year, Ranbir grew a beard, now one will see Ranbir in a complete geek look in Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
A source from the unit reveals, "Ranbir who has a very chocolate-boy image is going to surprise the audience now. The actor is going to stun the audience with his geeky look. In a particular scene Ranbir was required to don a complete nerd kind of look."
The source continues, "Ranbir wanted to get his look right so he worked very hard on getting the nerdy, boring look. He got his hair gelled flat, wore thick spectacles and a very typical nerdy shirt. After his final costume change the entire set was stunned and could not believe that Ranbir appeared like a simpleton."

Source: Entertainment - Google News | 27 Oct 2009 | 2:23 am When Akshay gave wad of thick currency notes to Anthony for spot boys of Blue
This is a story that Akshay Kumar really doesn't want to be told. But in times when cameras arrive at the place of charity before the star's charitable act, the star's quiet act of generosity is somewhat touching.
A few days after the release of Blue, the film's director Anthony D'Souza, who openly hero-worships Akshay Kumar, was traveling with the star when suddenly Akshay stopped the car, pulled out a wad of thick currency notes and gently handed it over to Anthony who was understandably stunned.
"This is for all the spot boys in Blue. Please divide it among them as a Diwali bonus. Blue couldn't have happened without them," Akshay told Anthony.
Says the director, "It was 2.5 lakh rupees and I quietly distributed it among the 18 spotboys of Blue. I kept quiet about it because Akshay asked me to. But now when you ask about it, I've to admit such largesse is rare in our film industry."
In a way the director is right. Who pulls out wads of currency notes in this day and age? Says Anthony, ''You've to look at it from the point of view of the spot boys who are the most neglected breed in Bollywood. No one looks their way, let alone reward their hard work. You had to see the glint in their eyes when they received Akshay's gift. I've now become a bigger fan of Akshay Kumar."
Akshay now intends to hold a special screening of Blue for all the family and friends of the spot boys.Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 27 Oct 2009 | 2:05 am Raju Srivastava to leave 'Bigg Boss 3'? - Times of India

Sujoy Ghosh was supposed to start BORIVALI before ALADIN. But, according to the director, he won't be making the film anymore. "I've already handed over the script of the film to a friend," Sujoy says.
Two Akshay Kumar starrers are expected to arrive in the same month. Reportedly, Vipul Shah's ACTION REPLAY is confirmed for 9th April, while Sajid Nadiadwala's HOUSEFULL is confirmed for 30th April.
Salman Khan's VEER, directed by Anil Sharma, is almost complete. "We will wrap the entire shooting by 5th/6th November. Right now, we are looking at releasing the film in January - it could be 22nd or 29th January," Anil Sharma confirmed to this writer.

Everyone's aware that Rajkumar Santoshi was supposed to direct LONDON DREAMS initially, before Vipul Shah took over. But not many are aware that Vipul re-wrote and changed the entire script that Santoshi was to make. "I've just retained one sequence from that script," the talented film-maker tells me.
The film-maker has a fantastic track record, with AANKHEN, WAQT, NAMASTEY LONDON and SINGH IS KINNG receiving a warm welcome from moviegoers. The viewers are bound to compare LONDON DREAMS with Vipul's earlier works. "I am not worried. I feel I've only evolved as a storyteller with LONDON DREAMS. I strongly feel that this is my best film to date," he says with utmost modesty.
There's talk that the film bears a striking resemblance to ROCK ON!!, YAARANA [Amitabh, Amjad Khan], SAAJAN and even ABHIMAAN. "Well, they were great films, but LONDON DREAMS is not remotely similar to any film. The sole similarity with ROCK ON!! is that the protagonists have a music band. In fact, when I signed Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for LONDON DREAMS, the sole request was, don't give me any tune that's similar to ROCK ON!!," Vipul clarifies.
Another rumour doing the rounds is that there's friction in Vipul and Akshay Kumar's friendship. "You may find this hard to believe, but Akshay was the first person I spoke to about the casting [Salman and Ajay]. His instant reaction was, it's an ideal cast. If at all there was any friction, we would've been unable to complete ACTION REPLAY in a record time. Also, we wouldn't be contemplating starting SINGH IS KINNG 2, if we weren't on good terms," Vipul states.
While on SINGH IS KINNG 2, there's talk that Vipul will direct the second instalment himself [Anees Bazmee had directed the first part]. "It's still undecided. My first choice would be Anees-ji, but if he's over-committed with work, I'd take the directorial reins in my hand," Vipul reveals.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 27 Oct 2009 | 1:12 am Hrithik Roshan warned by police - Oneindia

When Sanjay and Zarine Khan watched their son Zayed do those never-before heart-in-the-mouth motorcycle stunts in Blue, they threw a royal fit. Ever since his near-fatal fire accident in 1989 in Mysore during the shooting of the serial 'The Sword Of Tipu Sultan' during which Sanjay Khan suffered extensive burns and almost lost his life, both he and his wife are paranoid about shooting mishaps.
When their only son Zayed decided to become a movie actor, Sanjay and Zarine's first and only pre-condition was no dangerous stunts. Says Zayed, "It was almost like a holy diktat, not to perform anything that would potentially harmful to me."
Until Blue, where, on the script level itself, Zayed could see that his two lengthy mo'bike chase sequences on the 'Ducati 999' were potentially more lethal than anything the average action hero performs.
Says Zayed, "I had two options. Either say no to the most exciting role I had been offered so far. Or hide the truth from my parents."
Zayed chose the latter option. And went on to do the most explosive mo'bike stunts with his heart in his mouth. "Not because I was scared but what would my parents think and say when they saw what I had done."
When Sanjay and Zarine Khan saw Blue, their reaction was worse than what Zayed had anticipated.
Zayed's parents were distraught. Their horror mounted as the couple saw their son whiz past the most dangerous check posts ever created for a stunt actor.
Says Zayed, "When I saw their reaction, I had to do some quick thinking or else my parents would have truly freaked out and probably ordered me to give up movies. My helmet which covered my face through most of the mo'bike racing saved me. I told them it was a body-double doing those stunts."
The fact is Zayed did most of the action scenes. "Am I some kind of a sissy to let a stuntman do them? No way! I had accepted the role only so I could do these stunts. Except the moment when my bike jumps on to a train, all the other stunts are mine. And that train stunt, I didn't do because my action director said he wanted me to be alive to complete the film."
After reading this, Zayed hopes his parents would accept the truth. "If you are an actor you got to do it all. One can be wounded even while standing under a roof. Jo hona hoga woh hoga."Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 26 Oct 2009 | 6:34 am Live Chat: Jacqueline Fernandes on October 27 at 1600 hrs IST
