Source: NDTV Entertainment News | 23 Oct 2009 | 6:15 am Is Pucca Idiott on Facebook really Aamir Khan or an impersonator?
In what could be a case of another online identity theft in Bollywood, one Facebook ID is generating big buzz on the internet. There is speculation that a Facebook profile called 'Pucca Idiott' is really Aamir Khan and the actor is making friends with people under this pseudonym.
The information reads that he is Akash Malhotra (his character's name in Dil Chahta Hai) and lives in Bandra in Mumbai. His interests are badminton and tennis and Calvin and Hobbes is his favorite comic. These details are indicators that it may be Bollywood's very own perfectionist, Aamir Khan himself.
The profile is very active and Pucca Idiott has been interacting with people as a Facebook pro and already has 918 friends at the last count. The posts are coming at odd hours but very regularly, which include those ranging from the polite and adulating to the most bizarre ones. Sample this: "aamir diid u read my interesting story, reply plz?"
More evidence is in the form of pictures that are posted on the profile include that of a European destination. Are these pictures of the recent holiday that Aamir had gone to with Kiran Rao? Who is this Pucca Idiott?

The much awaited question was finally popped, and what better time to do it than the auspicious day of Diwali. Our very own Shilpa Shetty is going to be all taken and engaged officially. Her London based beau Raj Kundra, who she has been dating ever since she stepped out of the Big Brother's house, has finally asked her the big question and she of course was more than happy to relent.
Saturday being a lucky day according to the Hindu calendar, the couple has therefore decided to go ahead with the ceremony and celebrations tomorrow at Raj Kundra's Juhu residence. The not so good news is that sister Shamita will have to probably miss out on big sister's grand moment considering she is in the Bigg Boss house.
Well! As they say the show must go on. Shilpa is all set for the big day and making her look like a perfect bride- to- be is Manish Malhotra, who would be dressing her up in a saree and Raj, who has always managed to look impeccable, is planning to take matters in his own hands.
The industry is abuzz wondering whether Shilpa would be saying adios to Bollywood post marriage. To put all stops to such talk, Raj has already made his intentions public. He is planning to shift base to Mumbai from London as he doesn't want his lady love Shilpa to cut all association with Bollywood. The source continues, "This third sequel will have more twists and turns and one had to play more with the characters. Mr. Bachchan is a wonderful actor and it was very long since one saw him in a comedy role. He will very beautifully essay the role."

John never had to work as hard as he did to get it right for Abbas Tyrewala's 1: 800 Love. Interestingly, a large part of the drama unfolds through telephonic conversations in this film, just like in Abbas' previous film, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na.
And every actor knows emoting on the phone is one of the most difficult forms of acting. Says the 1: 800 Love director, Abbas Tyrewala, "It's a challenge for the most seasoned of actors. A lot of the relationship between John and Pakhi (John's co-star and also the director's wife) unfolds on the telephone. It was tough. But Pakhi insisted on being on the sets in London to give cues even when John alone was doing all the telephonic talk. That made it far easier. She was providing him the cues while he delivered his lines on the phone."
Abbas isn't sure yet how he's going to edit all the telephonic conversation in his film. But split screens showing the man and the woman talking to each other from separate places are out. "That's the easy way out. I'll have to find a way to show continuity in John and Pakhi's conversations without resorting to gimmicks. But I've to hand it to John. He surrendered completely to the part and he has come out with a performance that's completely unexpected. Dare I say 1: 8 00 Love is a new beginning for John."
Abbas tries to assess his wife's performance dispassionately. "She was always an actress. But she's also my wife. So I was very nervous. Luckily, Pakhi has turned out to be everything that we expected her to be."
A lot has been made out of the fact that Pakhi has acted in a comedy Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai earlier. But Abbas is nonchalant about it. "We never hid the fact that she acted as Punarnava Mehta in Yeh Ka Ho Raha Hai. Then she went to Darjeeling to be school teacher. I got her back and I persuaded her to return to acting. She was born to be an actress."
Many times while shooting 1: 800 Love Abbas was stricken by déjà vu. "It was like going back to Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na. The hero is introduced to the audience on the phone in both. Then when I shot a scene in a pub with John, it turned out exactly like a pub scene between Genelia and Ayaaz Khan in Jaane Tu. Just goes to prove, directors apparently keep making variations on the same idea all their career."
The London schedule went off without a hitch. "One of the actors Rohn was initially denied a visa. I insisted we can't work without him. Thank God."Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 23 Oct 2009 | 3:49 am Aamir Khan active on Facebook as Pucca IdiottIn what could be a case of another online identity theft in Bollywood, one Facebook ID is generating big buzz on the internet. Marathi film Harishchandrachi Factory has been selected as India's official entry in the Best Foreign Film category at the 82nd Academy Awards. The film, written and directed by Paresh Mokashi, is a delightful account of the incredible journey undertaken by the 'Father of Indian Cinema'- Dadasaheb Phalke to make India's very first motion picture, Raja Harishchandra.
UTV Motion Pictures, which has in the recent past been associated with some quality films, has co-produced Harishchandrachi Factory along with Paprika Media and Mayasabha Production.
Plans are now afoot to give Harishchandrachi Factory a good platform and to ensure that it gets the opportunity it deserves to attain global recognition.
Speaking about this honour, Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO, UTV Motion Pictures said "Over the years, movies that have received recognition by the Academy have been those with unusual themes and uplifting stories of the triumph of the human spirit in the face of adversity. With a tight running time of a little over 90 mins, Harishchandrachi Factory has the ability to reach out to international audiences in a grammar of filmmaking they are conversant with. We will go all out to ensure that it gets the best chance possible to do India proud."
Vikas Bahl, Chief Creative Officer, UTV Motion Pictures, said, " Harishchandrachi Factory has all the hallmarks of those very few special films that can cut across barriers to touch a chord amongst audiences, regardless of cultural background or language. We are proud to be bringing worldwide audiences a film that tells the story of the birth of filmmaking in India - the world's most prolific film producing nation."
Meanwhile Paresh Mokashi, writer-director of Harishchandrachi Factory, seemed elated about his film being India's official entry to the Oscars, "What better than to have one's debut film about the making of India's debut film. My search for the subject of my film was over when I first read the adventures of Dadasaheb Phalke in trying to make his first film. It was a story that was full of hope, inspired awe and optimism, and I've tried to bring these elements alive in the film. Selection to Oscars is a very sweet surprise and now I'm hoping for the best. And I'm really glad to have the support of UTV and Paprika Media in this venture."Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 22 Oct 2009 | 9:37 am I would never do something vulgar: Asin

If you remember the crazy comic films Golmaal and Golmaal Returns, both directed by Rohit Shetty, one would know what to expect from his new film All The Best. Perhaps, the director knew the film would turn out to be the best entertainer this Diwali and therefore, aptly named the film.
With the right jokes and a great cast the film's story takes you through the lives of wannabe race-car makers, Veer and Prem and how things go haywire for Veer played by Khan and Prem played Devgn when Dharam, the deadly Dutt catches hold of their lies.
The film has its equal share of crazy and silly stuff which is not uncommon in the comedies we see today but these will definitely make you laugh. And the crazy stuff in the film were enhanced with Visual Effects (vfx) provided by Mumbai based Pixion Studios.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Naveen Paul, VFX Supervisor of the film shared, "There are over 800 vfx shots in film, close to about 25 minutes in the entire film. The film has everything - vfx sequences, shots and vfx in the songs. There are scenes, independent shots, clean ups, CGI additions and matte painting additions, amongst others."

Golmaal 3 or All The Best 2?
The comic director Rohit Shetty is caught in a tragic situation. He quickly needs to decide if he wants to his next film to be Golmaal 3 or the sequel to All The Best.
As if making the Golmaal series was not enough, now Rohit Shetty is all set to turn All The Best into a sequel-franchise.
That's right! Shetty is all set to prepare All The Best 2. The decision was taken even before the first film was released. And while the male cast will remain constant, the ladies will keep changing with each film in the series.
Says Shetty, "We saw the film the week before the release and everyone was completely taken up by the idea of a sequel. So I said, why not? I don't mind doing Golmaal and All The Best kind of films my entire career. Making people laugh is not easy."
So which comes first? That's the dilemma. Says Rohit Shetty, "Golmaal 3 and All The Best 2, both have only one thing in common, Ajay Devgn. By now the two of us are an inseparable team. I can't dream of making anything without him. I've two ideas for the third part of Gomaal and one for the sequel to All The Best. Whichever shapes up better, I'll go ahead with that one first. Golmaal 3 will again have all the characters caught in a situation that takes place in a house."
Golmaal 3 will feature the same male cast including Arshad Warsi, who had earlier annoyed the Golmaal team by expressing his displeasure over the length of his role in Golmaal Returns. Grins Rohit, "I was initially angry with Arshad. Now it's all sorted out. And I'll be narrating Golmaal 3 to Arshad."
The credit goes to Rohit Shetty, for holding the directorial franchise to two of the biggest 'brand' sequels of Bollywood. However, the pressure to move to the next level of success is equally intense from both the brands.
Apparently, in the wake of the ovation for All The Best, the Golmaal producers, Asthavinayak, want Shetty to immediately start Part 3 of the existing series. Shetty's pal, Ajay Devgn, however, feels another All The Best is the need of the hour. Devgn, who is part of both Golmaal and All The Best series, is the producer of the latter, and also a close pal of Rohit Shetty.
Chances are there might be a spillover and a crossover of cast and crew between Rohit Shetty's two brand sequels. Sanjay Dutt, who has become a hot favourite with director Shetty and All The Best producer Ajay Devgn, may have a role in Golmaal 3.
Adds Ajay Devgn, "Rohit and I do share a certain vibe. And yes, we're in two minds about which to get into first. The script, gags, jokes and the overall comedy has to be funnier in the next film. We can't have repetitive gags in the sequels. Then the audience will lose faith in the franchise."Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 22 Oct 2009 | 4:24 am I would never do something vulgar: AsinSouthern beauty Asin, who is looking forward to her mega budget Bollywood release 'London Dreams', says she chooses her roles carefully as she doesn't want to do anything vulgar or indecent.Source: IndiaeNews.com: Bollywood News | 22 Oct 2009 | 4:05 am
