Barcelona's Alves out three weeks with muscle injury

Barcelona will be without Daniel Alves for up to three weeks after the Brazil defender injured a leg muscle during Tuesday's 2-1 Champions League defeat to Rubin Kazan. Alves pulled up limp while making a run two minutes into injury time. He rolled to the ground clutching his right thigh in pain. Barcelona said the right back would undergo further medical tests on Wednesday. Alves will miss the club's next Champions League match, which is at Rubin.
