Conan O'Brien and Cory Booker Kiss and Make Up

Last night, the long media feud between Newark's hero-mayor Cory Booker and late night joke-maker Conan O'Brien came to a peaceful and expensive end, as the two convened a meeting of a new mutual admiration society. Conan introduced a "Newark Joke Jar," where he'll be depositing $500 every time he makes a joke at the troubled city's expense, and then went ahead and made his first joke (and donation). Then, Conan presented a large check from himself and his wife (matched by NBC) to Booker's Newark charity. The feud is over, and Mayor Cory Booker, who really is like Batman, emerged the clear winner. [NBC]

Balloon Dad is Obsessed with Boxes!

What's in the box?

First, he said his son had been hanging from a box attached to the flying saucer balloon. Then, he claimed the boy had been hiding in a box in the attic. Now, Richard Heene has foiled the media by calling a press conference at 10am and then turning around and telling the gathered reporters to put their questions in a box and he'll answer them at 7:30 tonight, answering only one question with "Absolutely no hoax, put your questions in the box." What is up with this dude and boxes? Boxes, boxes, and more boxes! If this insane story (admit it: you're not sick of it yet) were viral marketing for anything, it would be the cardboard box industry. [AP]

George Clooney Plays a Humorous Prank on Matt Damon

Look out, Matt!

Infamous prankster George Clooney has gotten revenge on Matt Damon for an alleged prank in which Damon confirmed that Clooney was gay to a reporter. According to the Telegraph, while Damon was staying with Clooney at Clooney's Italian villa last summer and trying to lose weight for a role, Clooney secretly hired a tailor to take in the waistband of all of Damon's pants each day during his stay. Clooney said: "He couldn't understand how he seemed to be gaining weight while he was trying so hard to lose it." This confirms Damon's earlier suspicions! Ha! Lost Poster's Hieroglyphics Yield Cryptic Clues About Season Six

No need to even watch it.

The new-ish poster for Lost's final season contains hieroglyphics, so the TV lovers at Popular Mechanics sent it to Dr. James Allen, Wilbour Professor of Egyptology and Chair of Egyptology and Ancient Western Asian Studies at Brown University, who analyzed the symbols and had this answer:

"The hieroglyphs spell out two Egyptian words, meaning 'Who is the guide?' or 'Who is the leader?"
