Source: NDTV Entertainment News | 15 Oct 2009 | 9:19 am Roshan Abbas' film for Red Chillies tentatively titled Always Kabhi Kabhi
A few months ago, we had told you about well known theatre personality and radio guru Roshan Abbas making his directorial debut with a film for SRK's production house Red Chillies Entertainment. While Roshan is all set to take his film (tentatively titled Always Kabhi Kabhi) on floors he is quick to dismiss the rumours that the film will also star Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Roshan said, "No...SRK is just producing the film. My film stars four fresh new faces, one among them is Zoa (daughter of Karim Morani) who is making her debut with this film. We are still finalizing some of the cast members and as of now have some known names too like Archana Puran Singh, Satish Shah etc. playing vital roles."
Roshan is also quick to dismiss rumours that his film is based on the popular social networking site Facebook. "See...as I have said earlier, the film is an adaptation of a play I had written and directed way back in 1999 called 'Graffiti' about life at high school. That play was set in '99 and this film is set in 2009 so it's but obvious that I would be having some elements which the youth of today connect with one of them being social networking sites such as Facebook. However, beyond that there is no real connection. The film is set in a high school and will try to capture the various emotions such as love, jealousy, pride that one goes through during school days. I believe some of the best days of our life are the ones that we spend in high school and it is this period of one's life that the film will portray."
Shooting of the film Always Kabhi Kabhi is scheduled to commence in mid-November at various locations across India. Pritam has been roped in to compose music for the film.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 15 Oct 2009 | 8:13 am Live Chat: Asin on October 16 at 1600 hrs IST

Salman Khan is known to have a great amount of respect for veteran actor Dharmendra. Recently Sallu even invited Dharam paaji and Sunny Deol on his popular game show '10 Ka Dum'. Now as a special tribute to Dharmendra, Salman has incorporated some of the veteran actor's dance moves in the song 'Man Ko Ati Bhave' from his forthcoming film London Dreams.
In the song, promos of which are already on air, Salman is seen wooing Asin on the streets of Paris in front of historic locations such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. Khan, in his adorably mad style, and has even adopted some of Dharam paaji's trademark moves while dancing for this song.
Confirming that Salman's moves were consciously modeled on the lines of Dharmendra's famous dance steps, choreographer Rajeev Surti said, "When we were discussing the choreography, Salman bhai suggested that we incorporate Dharamji's famous moves. He is a big Dharmendra fan and felt that the steps would go really well with the fun feel of the song. He managed to ape Dharamji's moves perfectly and has even added his own unique flavour to them."
Incidentally, when the number was being shot, French President Nicolas Sarkozy had just won the six month presidency of the EU, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, the entire Eiffel Tower was lit up in blue and gold which was an extremely rare sight. "We were lucky to grab that rare sight," added director Vipul Shah

Akshay Kumar speaks to Subhash K Jha about coming close to death experience during the filming of Blue and his love for doing stunt scenes.
Aren't you working too much these days?
I don't think so. Recently, when we shot in London for House Full, it was like family holiday. It was like a picnic. House Full is an emotional comedy. When Sajid Khan told me we were done with 90 percent of the film in Europe, I couldn't believe it. Our families were there. Once I was back in Mumbai, my schedules got stressful. That's why I like shooting abroad. I came back to Mumbai last month to shoot two songs for Blue.
Do you enjoy shooting songs as much as all the other aspects of a film?
I enjoy being in front of the camera, period. It doesn't matter whether it's to put sindoor in the leading lady's hair or to wipe it off.
The rapport between you and the Blue director Anthony D'Souza is supposedly amazing. Anthony took really good care of his cast. Though Blue is his first film, you can't really make it out. He's a very hard-working man. Of course I want Blue to work for my sake. But more than me it's Anthony who deserves to succeed. I hope he succeeds. Regarding our rapport, it's all about the vibes you give to the director as an actor.
You've established a long-standing rapport with many directors? Why just directors? It's important to have a rapport with producers. You've to be a thoroughly professional, finish your work on time. I feel it's more important to be a good human being than a good actor.
Do you enjoy the freedom of moving around freely abroad? You mean because of the fans? But there are Indians in every part of the world. And they do call out to you, wave and say hello. But beyond that they leave you alone. My son loves skating. We went in skating in Hyde Park.
Do you want to direct a film? Not really. I'm very happy being in front of the camera. I'm happy being an actor and a producer.
Are you producing a film with Shah Rukh Khan? No not at all.
Are you working in a film with Trisha? Yes I am. Priyan is planning something. I love working with all kinds of co-stars, new or established doesn't matter. I've worked with three new girls in Priyan's Garam Masala. And that was a hit. Hopefully, Trisha will be a hit too.
Were you frightened?
Not at that time. But looking back I realized anything could've happened. I realized sharks are not a threat to you until they feel threatened by you. Now do you know why I think Blue should be called Red?
Was Blue the most difficult film you've ever done?
By far it was the most difficult film. Every morning going underwater. It's the toughest film I've ever done. I don't know what bigger challenge I can throw at myself...except shoot a film in space. I'd also love to jump down from the Empire State Building.
Didn't you once say you won't do these dangerous stunts now that you're a father?
If you saw Khatron Ke Khiladi (Fear Factor) I warned audiences not to try the stunts. I don't want any harm to come to anyone while trying my stunts. I do them with a lot of precaution. But at the end of the day I know with my caution and experience I could go badly wrong with my stunts.
Is it worth it?
I've seen stunt men lose their lives in front of my eyes because of one wrong move. The wind can suddenly change its direction during an aerial stunt and you're gone. I know it's dangerous. But I just love doing stunts. It's a thrill I can't stop myself from. I tried to stop it for my son. But I can't. I suppose it's my one addiction in life.Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 15 Oct 2009 | 3:52 am Olga Kurylenko poses for new Campari adLondon, (ANI): Bond girl Olga Kurylenko faced the camera to pose for a new Campari advert shot in Milan, Italy. The Ukrainian actress, who shot to fame after playing Camille in The Quantum of Solace, revealed she tried the bittersweet spirit forSource: Oneindia.in - Entertainment | 15 Oct 2009 | 3:48 am “I have overstayed in the industry by 10 years” –Salman KhanSalman Khan has tasted moderate success with his last release Wanted and looking forward to his next Main Aurr Mrs Khanna. Source: NDTV Entertainment News | 15 Oct 2009 | 3:20 am Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra take Jermaine Jackson for Taj Mahal visit
The bonding between Shilpa and Jermaine which was established during her turbulent stint at Big Brother, just got much stronger and more creative during Jermaine's current visit to India when Shilpa along with Adnan Sami played hosts to Jermaine and his wife Halima.
In fact on Monday, Shilpa and her NRI boyfriend Raj Kundra flew the Jacksons in his private jet to Agra and then to Jaipur for a flash visit to these legendary tourist spots.
It was Adnan who had promised to take Jermaine to the Taj Mahal but the accident aborted their plans. Jermaine and his wife were more than happy to go with Shilpa and her man specially since the visit was planned and executed by Kundra to the minutest detail.
It was in Jaipur that apparently the idea of musical collaboration between Jermaine and Shilpa concretized.
Incidentally, both the Shetty sisters Shilpa and Shamita sing. We've now seen Shamita doing her singing in Bigg Boss.
Says Shilpa, "It's too early to talk about what Jermaine and I are doing together. But yes, we will work together for sure. Shamita's singing, the world has now seen. Isn't she adorable?"
About taking the Jackson couple to Agra and Jaipur on Kundra's jet, Shilpa says, "I really don't want to talk about what we did or are doing for Jermaine and Halima. We are their hosts in India. They are a fabulous couple. Both Raj and I love them both. We had a great time in Agra and Jaipur. It was Jermaine's dream to visit these spots. Strangely a day before we took him to Jaipur, he saw Rambagh Palace on television in his room at the Taj hotel in Mumbai and was completely enamoured. He had no clue we'd take him to Rambagh the next day."
Not willing to reveal much about the Jermaine-Shilpa collaboration plans, Shilpa quips, "Nowadays you never know when and who is waiting around the corner to put a spanner in your works. I just heard that one Mr. Hirani is suing me. The only Hirani I know is the one who has made the wonderful Munnabhai films. I can't wait to meet him."Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 15 Oct 2009 | 3:14 am SnippetsOctober 13, 2009They are certainly the most happening couple in the tinsel town and now Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have created a record for the longest kiss on camera. Costumes play a very important role in any Bollywood movie and a lot of detailing and attention is always given to the costumes used in our movies. In fact for a single movie, an actor has to go through quite a few costume changes during the course of the completion of the movie
However, Abhishek Bachchan had a different experience of sorts while shooting for his upcoming film Paa. Abhishek plays a politician in the film and hence is shown wearing a pristine white kurta pyjama in nearly 90% of the film.
In fact, to ensure that the clothes worn by the young actor were spotless, director Balki even ordered 10 sets of the same kurta pyjama to be made. However, ironical as it may sound, while AB Jr. sports just one single white kurta pyjama in 90% of the film, in the remaining 10% of the film the actor had to go through nearly 30 costume changes.
Bachchan junior however doesn't seem to mind the limited wardrobe that he has in the movie. "It was a welcome change to not have so many different costumes. And most importantly it was the requirement of the film", he says.
Paa is a sensitive story about the relationship between a father and son who is suffering from Progeria. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan in lead roles and is slated for release on Dec. 4 this year.Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 14 Oct 2009 | 6:31 am UTV signs an exclusive deal with Anurag Kashyap for the next 3 years
After collaborating on the cult hit Dev D earlier this year, UTV and Anurag Kashyap have once again joined hands. UTV has gone ahead and announced an exclusive association with Anurag Kashyap, for the next 3 years. As a part of the deal signed, Anurag will be directing 4 to 5 movies produced by UTV, and creatively producing another 4 to 5 in this duration.
Speaking on this association, Vikas Bahl, COO, UTV Motion Pictures said, "Anurag Kashyap is an extremely talented director, with a unique vision for his projects. There is a clear connect between how we want each of our films to be exceptional and diverse in various aspects and how Anurag treats each of his projects. Dev D, a UTV Spotboy movie directed by Anurag, was a blockbuster and set the base for a phenomenal working relationship. Now, we want to take this association forward with a long term perspective, and that is exactly how this idea came about."
Anurag Kashyap also seemed elated on signing this deal. He said, "I am very happy to sign up with UTV because it gives me the freedom to make the kind of films I want to and I feel UTV supports as well as enhances my creative process. Not only do I enjoy directing for UTV but I also appreciate the support they give to films and other filmmakers in delivering a creative vision that the films demand. Making Dev D was one of the most satisfying experiences and the production and distribution support that I got from UTV was the best I ever had. A repeat of that is always welcome."Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 14 Oct 2009 | 6:29 am Adnan Sami injured, Jermaine escapes during music video shoot
It looks like the music video, featuring Jermaine Jackson and Adnan Sami paying a tribute to the various sights, sounds and scales of Mumbai city, is jinxed. Initially, permission was denied to shoot in certain sensitive parts of Mumbai as both Adnan and Jermaine are not Indian citizens.
Adnan had to use all his influence to get shooting permissions at places like the Gateway of India.
Then last week, on the day when the video was to be shot, the rains washed away all of Adnan and Jermaine's plans.
Finally, on Friday the shooting started in various parts of the Mumbai. But on the last day of the shoot, which was a Sunday, almost ended in catastrophe, as Adnan got injured in the sea waters near the Gateway of India. A speedboat sped a little too fast in the sea near the Gateway and Adnan, who was shooting with Jermaine Jackson, was badly hurt.
"Nothing to worry about though. I'll be repaired in no time at all," said Adnan from his home, a day after the injury.
So what happened? Adnan tries to play down the potentially calamitous sequence of events when the boat was shot tearing the sea waters and heading towards the Gateway.
"I guess the man navigating the boat took his job a little too seriously. He was moving too fast through the water and the boat almost toppled over and turned turtle. I was knocked against a hard surface in the boat."
Adnan's left hand and thumb was badly injured. "Fortunately, there are no fractures. But the pain and swelling were alarming. I couldn't move my hand. But we had to continue shooting because we had no permission to shoot in that area beyond Sunday."
Adnan lived through the ordeal with painkiller- shots to subside the pain.
"I'm just thankful that Jermaine wasn't in the boat when it almost capsized. That would've been one helluva story he'd have carried back home," chuckled Adnan from his home where he's now recovering.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 14 Oct 2009 | 5:08 am Salman brothers cherish the moment of togethernessThis was a spontaneous gesture.Source: Entertainment News | 14 Oct 2009 | 5:08 am Kajol chosen as brand ambassador for Oil Of Olay

The much-awaited underwater action-thriller Blue is just 1 hour 57 minutes long. Commenting on the length of his film director Anthony D'Souza said, "We owe it to the audience to not bore them. Blue is long enough to tell its story interestingly, that's it. It is 1 hour 57 minutes of sheer adrenaline rush."
Before flying off with Akshay Kumar to the Abu Dhabi Film Festival on Wednesday morning, Anthony was nervously mixing the Telugu version of Blue. "We decided to do Blue in a dubbed Telugu version because we got a good buyer. Though I'm supervising the mixing, the Telugu dubbing was done independently and the voices are nothing like Mr. Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara, Zayed, etc."
On Monday night, Blue was screened for the first time for the cast and crew at Adlabs. Strangely only Zayed Khan and Kabir Bedi from the cast showed up.
"That's because the rest of the cast was traveling. It was a last-minute decision to screen the film for the crew of Blue," explains Anthony.
With the final running-time of just 1 hour 57 minutes, Blue, featuring a top heavy starcast and an intricate underwater location, is a sure sign of restrain and brevity.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 14 Oct 2009 | 4:26 am Indian choreographer makes Jermaine danceBollywood choreographer Remo D'souza had always dreamt of meeting his idol Michael Jackson, but his wish remained unfulfilled due to the singer's death.Source: Entertainment News | 14 Oct 2009 | 2:58 am
