In White House Ceremony, A War Hero Honored

President Obama will present the Medal of Honor to the family of Army Sgt. 1st Class Jared Monti at a ceremony in the East Room of the White House. It is only the second Medal of Honor awarded for service in Afghanistan after nearly eight years of fighting. Monti, a 30-year-old from Raynham, Mass., died in June 2006 trying to save one of his soldiers during a Taliban attack.

Mary Travers Of Peter, Paul And Mary Dies
