After setting many youngsters' heartbeats racing, Bollywood's latest poster boy Imran Khan is back once again to do that with his action filled movie Luck. It's no rocket science that he is superlatively popular amongst girls. Bollywood Hungama got the man for an exclusive interaction with his fans only a few days back. But those who were not 'Lucky' enough to catch Imran on the live chat, we bring you the excerpts.
Imran Khan: hi guys - I am here for my new film LUCK
Sonam: Hey Imran, I discovered this very cute nick name for you, immu. How sweet is that APPLE PIE!! So here are the few things which I wanted to share with you .I have watched all your films and noticed that you get very nervous on the sets I guess when you deliver your dialogues, you end up delivering them very fast and the second thing as you say your dialogue you tend to raise your eyebrows a lot every word you say which I consider a distraction for audiences. You sure got the good looks infact you look like Robert pattison but coming to the point I think you should relax and imagine whatever character you are playing kabir, jai etc as its you and how would you react in whatever situation.
Imran Khan: thanks for the feedback sonam... honestly, I hate it when people call me immu, I prefer just Imran.
Anu: What is your role in Luck???
Imran Khan: Anu, I play a normal guy caught up in the world of human betting.
Sonam: three women who you would date besides Avantika?
Imran Khan: sonam, it's hard for me to think of dating someone else. Weâve been together for six and a half years
Prasad: Hello Imran sir...Your latest film LUCK is looking simply EPIC...So how was the experience of working with Soham Shah?
Imran Khan: Prasad, i really liked working with Soham. He's a young director, so our sensibilities really matched.
Anu: so who's ur career consultant?
Imran Khan: don't have a consultant Anu... you want to help out?
Hungama: which will be your next car?
Imran Khan: Hungama, i just bought a Porsche cayenne, i donât think I'll be buying a new car for a long time!
Sonam: how good a dancer do you think you are on a scale of 1 to 10?
Imran Khan: Sonam, I think I'm probably a 4 or 5.
Rats: which film genre would you prefer to watch action, comedy or parallel?
Imran Khan: rats, you seem to have stolen my character name! i like to watch action films.
Ankit: have you though of doing an Indian superhero film ever?
Imran Khan: ankit, nobody's offered me a superhero film... but i think it could work here
Inam: with such a busy schedule do you get time for your hobbies? What are they?
Imran Khan: inam, i don't really get time for hobbies... but when i get the chance, i like to watch movies in the theater.
Djeesah: you said you're a great fan of Kareena Kapoor. Did you see kambakkth Ishq recently?
Imran Khan: djeesah, I did watch KI. Laughed solidly all the way through, i thought akki did a fantastic job.
Anu: which was ur fav stunt in the film LUCK?
Imran Khan: my favorite stunt was hanging out of a plane while it flew over a train...
Affan: to keep your self fit what is the regime you follow daily?
Imran Khan: affan, my regime changes based on what i need to look like for a film. For luck, i worked out 6 days a week with very heavy weights. But for Delhi Belly I stopped working out, and cut down my food so i could become really skinny.
Sallu: Did you see any of Salman Khan's Movies. Which movie of Salman is your Fav?
Imran Khan: Sallu, Iâm guessing you're a fan of Bhai? My favorite is Andaz Apna Apna.
Guest: have you thought about starting your own blog or site?
Imran Khan: I'd like to have my own site... one day!
Abhi: Imran...........what is luck actually about ....its not totally revealed in the trailer.
Imran Khan: abhi, if we revealed what luck is totally about, why people would go to watch it!
Imran Khan: ok guys, got to run. Really sorry I can't stay longer but i have a dozen of interviews to do. Those of you in London, come by and meet me tomorrow at cineworld ilford at 11am, and cineworld Feltham at 1:30pm. Thanks for taking the time to come and chat, it's always a pleasure to chat with fans directly. For director duo Raksha Mistry and Hasnain Hyderabadwaala, Jashan wasn't an easy assignment. After all box office wasn't too kind to them in spite of two reasonably entertaining films [The Killer, The Train] while they were charged with lifting scripts from Hollywood sources. However, they promised to make something out and out original once they were set out to make their third film. The result was Jashnn where they had Bhatt brothers backing their dream.
However, life hasn't been all bed of roses for them as even till the eve of the film's release, they have been bombarded with queries around Mahesh Bhatt being the driving force for the film. In a conversation with Joginder Tuteja, Raksha Mistry sets the record straight and hopes that eventually it will be the film that would do all the talking and ultimately film lovers would realize that Jashnn has a lot more to it than the mystery surrounding the direction credits.
There have been talks about Mahesh Bhatt being a creative force in the making of Jashnn, which is actually a fair deal. However, were you expecting or rather seeking it as well from Day One?
Let me start from the very beginning. When we started scripting Jashnn, we realized that Mahesh Bhatt was taking the film quite personally. Somehow Bhatt saab's journey in life is very similar to that of the character that Adhyayan plays in the film due to which I could see him getting attached to the project. Because of this, we requested him to be on the sets because that would have only added value to the project. However, media has its own way of looking at things as they were blown out of proportion and it was being declared that he has directed the entire film!

Who would have guessed that one could shoot most parts of a film in Philadelphia and call it New York? A far cry from yesteryear's' films that used cardboard cut-outs for the sun and the moon, the art of visual effects (vfx) has progressed by leaps and bounds enabling filmmakers to use computer technology to save on crucial time and money.
John Abraham, Katrina Kaif and Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer New York (NY) , which chronicles the tale of three youngsters before and after the 9\11 attacks, has used extensive visual effects by vfx house TATA Elxsi Visual Computing Labs (VCL).
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, VCL's Deepal Dass explained the vfx work in the film, "Apart from the challenging climax, there were lot of miscellaneous sequences in NY where extensive computer graphics (CG) was used. Many sequences were actually all shot in Philadelphia but we were meant to make it look like New York. The same involved extensive manual frame-by-frame rotoscopy."
In this exclusive case study, we bring you some of the exciting shots executed by TATA Elxsi VCL, courtesy VCL Creative Director Pankaj Khandpur and Yash Raj Films.

Source: Entertainment - Google News | 17 Jul 2009 | 8:43 am "My character is much more contoured and substantial" - Anjana Sukhani
Why was Anjana Sukhani's role increased in Jashnn?
According to the buzz Anjana was initially the 'looker' while Shahana Goswami was designated the 'performer' in Jashnn, quite like John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in Dostana.
Then somewhere along the way the tables turned. The looker's role was suddenly expanded.
Could Anjana's warm friendship with Adhyayan have a hand in this?
The girl shrugs off the insinuation. "Why only Adhyayan? Shahana and I are also buddies. All three of us have bonded beyond petty rivalry."
Anjana admits her role has been increased drastically. "To begin with I was only supposed to play Adhyayan's love interest while Shahana playing his sister had all the meaty scenes. Then Mahesh Bhatt Saab saw a portion of what I had done and decided to increase my role. He called me aside and said, 'Anjana we thought we'd use you only for the romance. But there's so much more that you seem to be conveying.' He told me they had changed their mind about my role."
Anjana's role was re-written by Mahesh Bhatt. "Now my character is much more contoured and substantial. Earlier I was just this girl cheering and encouraging Adhyayan. Now I'm his character's backbone and support system."
Wonder where that leaves Shahana 'the performer.'
Anjana says her co-star is very happy for her. "All three of us are supporting one another's dreams. We'd rather rock together than rock the boat. Strangely both Shahana and I are being linked with Adhyayan. I'm also supposed to be responsible for Adhyanan's breakup with Kangna. Have a heart! I'm here to act, not break relationships."
Anjana is also appalled by hushed whispers about her other co-star Rehaan Khan in Kabir Sadanand's Tum Milo Toh Sahi. "At this rate no man would want to come close to me thinking I'm already in another relationship."Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 17 Jul 2009 | 8:36 am Big B reprises his famous Namak Halal look in a song sequence in Aladin
Superstar of the Millennium Amitabh Bachchan never fails to surprise us with his on-screen get-ups in film after film. While he keeps re-inventing his look as per the need of the character, if need arises he may even repeat some of his popular and classic characters' looks. Case in point: Amitabh Bachchan's celebrated look in the evergreen number 'Ke Pag Ghunghroo Bandh Meera' from the film Namak Halal is still fresh in our minds and guess what Big B will be seen once again in a similar avatar in Eros International's Aladin.
Mr. Bachchan will be seen grooving to a peppy number called 'O Re Sawariya' in Aladin in a similar kind of white kurta and pink pagadi which he once donned in the cult classic Namak Halal.
In this sequence, Jacqueline's character (Jasmine) is trying to woo Riteish (Aladin) while Amitabh Bachchan (Genius- The Genie) keeps popping into the scene at various points.
Says director Sujoy Ghosh, "We had no intentions of repeating his look from Namak Halal. It is purely a coincidence but it definitely shows how the actor has impacted our minds over the years through his cult performances."
Talking of the song, Sujoy adds, "' O Re Sawariya' is a fun filled number and Mr. Bachchan has added an extra charm to it with his unique style and unbeatable energy. We had a great time filming this song and I am sure audiences will love it too".
The song is picturised on Mr. Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh & Jacqueline Fernandes and choreographed by Bosco Ceaser and Saroj Khan. The music is composed by by Vishal and Shekhar.
Produced by Eros International in association with Sujoy Ghosh's production company Boundscript, Aladin.is a contemporary look at the classic fairy tale packed with fun, music, masti, action and adventure.

Launch Vehicle
My debut film Tere Sang deals with a very serious issue of teenage pregnancy. I play a 15-year-old high school student in the film, who falls into serious trouble when she gets pregnant. The film is very simple and I am sure every girl will be able to relate to my character, Mahi. She is a happy-go-lucky, chirpy girl but everything changes due to this one incident, but her boyfriend (played by Ruslaan Mumtaz) stays by her side throughout. They face the situation bravely and deal with it in a responsible manner.
Casting Coup
I had to collect some funds for school and was at my family friend, lyricist Sameer uncle's house. He suggested that I go to collect funds from his friend Satish Kaushik. I agreed and when I went there he offered me the money along with a role in Tere Sang. He said he wanted to cast someone young and I suited the part perfectly. I loved the role and thought it would be the best role with which to start my career.
Stepping-Stone
I have done a three-month acting course and a couple of dance courses from Shiamak Davar and Ganesh Acharya. I am also learning Kathak under the guidance of Uma Dogra.
First Shot
I can't reveal much about the shot because that will give away the film's plot. It was a very serious shot and I was actually nervous. I had butterflies in my stomach and felt all jittery when I faced the camera for the first time. But things fell into place once the camera started rolling.
Stumbling Block
I actually didn't expect that I would get my break this easily. But there were a few scenes in the film, I was apprehensive about. Ruslaan and me had to do a couple of intimate scenes and I had my doubts about it. When Satish-sir got to know about this he assured me that the scenes would be aesthetically shot. Later when I saw the outcome I was absolutely convinced that the shot was far from being vulgar.
Lessons Learnt
I have just started out and have a long way to go. As an actor you have to keep learning. The day you say that you have learnt enough, you stop being self-critical. That attitude shouldn't be there. Everyday should be a new lesson for you.

I have always admired my mom, yesteryear's actress Sadhana Singh. She has been a great source of inspiration for me. I am also in awe of Shah Rukh Khan and am really keen on working with him. I also look up to Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor. They conduct themselves very well.
Future Projects
After Tere Sang I am working on a Telegu film. As for Hindi films talks are still on.

Adhyayan Suman is honest enough to admit that it was a scary experience to be working in Jashnn. No, not scary in a manner similar to that of working in a horror flick like Raaz - The Mystery Continues but 'emotionally and mentally' scary! After all, he got a platform where he was the sole lead in the film, was being backed by Bhatts who have launched quite a few careers and last but not the least, being aware of the fact that quite a few prying eyes were expecting him to fall down.
Talking to Joginder Tuteja, he shares his apprehensions about being the main lead in Jashnn, his relationship with Mahesh Bhatt, his conviction in director duo Raksha Mistry and Hasnain Hyderabadwala and how, in spite of a Haal-E-Dil and a Raaz - The Mystery Continues behind him, he still considers Jashnn as his real launch pad!
Win of an underdog, is that the best way to describe Jashnn?
I would probably say that. It is a small film as far as the budget is concerned. However, content wise it is big. It's a beautiful story put together which is emotionally quite rich. (Mahesh) Bhatt saab has extracted beautiful performances from everyone.
The film is being widely publicized as a film about 'a nobody who wants to be somebody'.
And that's just the apt way to describe the film. See, we all have dreams and want to become something in life. Aakash, the character I play, wants to become rock star. Jashnn is the story about his struggle, how he achieves success and his relationship with his sister (Shahana Goswami) who is someone's (Humayun Saeed) mistress.

Anurag Kashyap has developed quite a taste for acting. After playing a director in Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance, he's back in Sudhir Mishra's Tera Kya Hoga Johnny. And Sudhir is so impressed by Anurag's acting abilities that he has already signed the Dev D director for a pivotal role in Mishra's next project later this year.
And Anurag isn't the only filmmaker playing a part in Mishra's film. "Tera Kya Hoga Johnny stars four directors, Anurag Kashyap, Aditya Bhattacharya, Ashok Pandit and of course me. I am not seen on screen though," informs Mishra.
Sudhir is not too pleased with his own acting skills. "I saw what I was capable of in Traffic Signal. Madhur Bhandarkar insisted on having me play the Don. I didn't like my performance at all. In Tera Kya Hoga Johnny only my back appears on screen."
Anurag Kashyap, however, has a full-fledged role. Informs Sudhir, "Audiences will get to see Anurag as a full actor, close-ups and all. Anurag has a great screen presence. In fact I've signed him for my next film as well."Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 16 Jul 2009 | 9:44 am Wishing Katrina Kaif a very happy Birthday
Only a handful of years ago, exactly on this day, a phenomenon called Katrina Kaif was born to a Kashmiri Muslim father and a British Christian mother. Much before her graduation from the prestigious Harvard University, life gave her a lifetime opportunity to graduate from being a mere Katrina Kaif to THE Katrina Kaif! This opportunity came in the form of a casting agent, who, we are sure was far more farsighted than even Nostradamus, since he spotted Kats' futuristic full fledged romance with name, fame and fortune at the very moment he saw her!
Katrina, like any wise girl, traced her way to Bollywood, courtesy, the Boom-bastic director Kaizad Gustad. Boom, which happened to be her debut film, showed the world the 'face of the future Superstar'. What followed after Boom were an array of films like Sarkar, Namaste London, Singh Is Kinng, New York ... a few of the many names that gave Katrina her much deserving position that she was simply destined for: Numero Uno!
