He has done for the star what only a childhood friend can do. Whipping out one of his multiple-jets from his aerial stable, Virmani has lent his luxury 17-seater jet to his friend and his team of Chandni Chowk To China to facilitate their whirlwind 4-city North American-British premieres beginning with Los Angeles on Thursday. More than the jet, which Virmani says belongs to Akshay anytime he wants it, it's the entirely revamped outer surface of the CC2C aircraft which carries the logo of the film Chandni Chowk To China and pictures of Deepika Padukone and Akshay Kumar, that has bowled Akshay over. Apparently when Akshay saw the way his friend's private aircraft had been modified to suit the posh premiere's purposes he broke down and wept. Says Virmani, "I really don't want to say much on this. But yes, Akshay did get very emotional when he saw what I had done to my jet. I think Chandni Chowk To China is a very special film. And lending one of my jets for this purpose is a very small token of my happiness. Out here in Toronto where I've my main business the film is so strong. People have been constantly calling to ask for passes to the premiere. I've been with Akshay from the time he was the Khiladi. I'm very proud of him." The CC2C 17-seater jet, which is part of Virmani's 30-plus fleet of private aircrafts, is a luxury aircraft meant for long-distance travel. It will carry Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Deepika Padukone, Nikhil Advani, Ajay Virmani and senior members of Warner Brothers' production from Los Angeles on Thursday night to New York and Toronto for the premieres there, followed by London. Akshay and Twinkle's son Aarav was unable to accompany his dad for the American and British premieres.Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 10 Jan 2009 | 10:06 am Check out Tusshar Kapoor's look as the typical 'Gujju Bhai' in Life PartnerAfter playing a mute guy in Golmaal Returns with aplomb, Tusshar Kapoor would now be seen as typical 'Gujju Bhai' in Rumi Jaffrey's Life Partner. Bollywood Hungama spoke to Tusshar who is all excited about this new avatar. "Yes...I am playing a typical 'Gujju' character called Bhavesh in my next film Life Partner. He comes from a very traditional Gujarati joint family. My character is based in South Africa and the story revolves around how this guy comes to India to get hitched via an arranged marriage", says Tusshar For the first time in his career, Tusshar would be seen sporting a moustache and playing a married guy. "Yes I get married mid-way through the film. As for the moustache, Rumi Jaffrey had a certain vision for the character and this is how he wanted it to be. Manish Malhotra has done my styling in the film", reveals Tusshar So what special efforts did he have to undertake to get the nuances of a Gujarati guy right? "See...more than the Gujarati aspect it was getting into the skin of the character that was the real challenge for me. I am totally opposite to the character I portray in Life Partner as I am someone who doesn't believe in arranged marriage. Moreover unlike Bhavesh, I am not at all traditional and conservative in my thought process. So I had to work on that aspect of the character all the more", says Tusshar with a smile. Life Partner has Tusshar paired opposite Prachi Desai who recently made a stunning debut in Rock On. Besides the duo, the film also stars Govinda, Fardeen Khan and Genelia D'Souza in lead roles. Shooting for this film (produced by Abbas-Mustan and directed by Rumi Jaffrey) is almost complete and the film should hit screens in the summer of 2009.Source: BollywoodHungama.com Features | 10 Jan 2009 | 9:03 am
