2008 ends with a good spell

It has been a good cricketing last week of the year, and there were some top performances by the players. There was the T20 match in New Zealand where the eliminator rule was used for the first time. Chris Gayle who seems to revel in the latest format of the game took the credit as he smashed three sixes to put the game beyond New Zealand who lost two wickets in chasing that Gayle onslaught. Gayle had hammered Daniel Vettori, skipper of New Zealand, who unsurprisingly did not think the eliminator rule was a good one to decide a tied game.
