Source: NDTV Entertainment News | 23 Sep 2008 | 2:16 pm Sanjay Dutt signs Soham Shah to direct an adventure sports filmSanjay Dutt has probably become the busiest man in Bollywood. With Kidnap releasing next week and Dutt busy shooting for Blue, we only wonder how he manages to find time to do anything else. Busy or not, Sanjay is all ready to start films under his own production house. News is he has signed Soham Shah of Kaal fame to direct a film for Sanjay Dutt Productions. âYes, we have signed Soham for a film but any detail on the film you have to talk directly to Soham only,â says Dharam Oberoi CEO, Sanjay Dutt Productions. âYes, it's true; I am making a film for Sanjay Dutt Productions. However, we are still working on the script and we have a lot more detailing to do. It would go on floors early next year. It's more of an action adventure with a backdrop of adventure sports to its extreme. As for actors, well Sanjay Dutt is surely doing the film. Besides him we have not thought or spoken to anyone. But before all of this, I have to finish my previous film Luck; once that is over then I will be able to concentrate completely on this film,â says Director Soham Shah. So what is the status of Luck? âLuck is 90% complete, just a couple of days shooting is left. Then there is post production, editing, promotion and a lot more things to do,â adds Soham. Besides all this Sanjay Dutt Productions has also signed Milan Luthria to direct a film. âI am making a film called Bihaad for Sanjay Dutt Productions. It's based on a true story and a complete action film. Besides Sanjay Dutt, I have spoke to Vidya Balan and I am still looking for one actor and actress for the film. Bihaad will start somewhere next year. Amongst all this I am also working on a film for Balaji Productions which is based on the underworld of the 70's. The film is still in scripting stages as of now,â says Milan Lutharia.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 23 Sep 2008 | 2:01 pm Reality show on Indian NavyEquipped with battle stations and live weaponry, five Indians would accompany Indian Navy personnel as they ride the global high seas for a reality television show that seeks to give viewers a peek into the country's Naval forces. A lot is riding on these two films. In terms of economics, both are expensive films. Plus, the careers of Abhishek Bachchan [DRONA] and Imran Khan [post JAANE TU⦠YA JAANE NA] are at stake. Will DRONA live up to the humungous expectations? "It's my biggest and best film so far," Abhishek Bachchan tells me. He's supremely confident this time. "I don't speak like this, do I? But DRONA is different. It's the most expensive film I am associated with. Besides, Goldie [Behl; the director] has executed the subject remarkably," he states. Abhishek and Goldie have got together after more than seven years [BAS ITNA SA KHWAB HAI was released in July 2001]. In between, in 2006, Goldie had plans of making a thriller with Abhishek, but decided on making an adventure fare instead. "Goldie was disheartened after his debut film failed. Later, he diversified into television; he wanted to make his company secure before he announced his next film," Abhishek reminisces. Abhishek credits his directors for the [sterling] performances he has delivered in films like YUVA and GURU [Mani Ratnam] as also SARKAR and SARKAR RAJ [RGV]. "If at all DRONA works -- and I hope it does -- Goldie should get the credit for it. He has worked very, very hard. I am sure, the Indian audiences haven't seen an adventure film like DRONA before," he says confidently. Abhishek has worked in the DHOOM series as also SARKAR and its sequel. There's talk that a sequel to DRONA is in the offing. "Oh yes! Goldie has written so much in the intervening period that he's ready to take the DRONA series forward. In fact, the possibility of a sequel can easily be explored," he adds.Source: BollywoodHungama.com News | 23 Sep 2008 | 6:48 am Hari Puttar : The boy who won - Times of India

However, Ravi Rai and his company Small Town Boy Productions have decided to send it to the Oscars as an independent entry. Tingya directed by Mangesh Hadawale is an emotional story of love between a boy and a bull, which is set in the milieu of Maharashtra's agrarian crisis. The film has won several accolades both nationally and internationally. Tingya was apparently rejected by almost 42 producers but has bagged about 37 awards globally, which in itself is a huge achievement for producer Ravi Rai. Inspite of not being nominated as the official entry into the foreign language category for the Oscars, Ravi Rai has no grudge and feels no resentment towards the jury. Taare Zameen Par happens to be among Rai's favorite movies. Apparently, Taare Zameen Par and Tingya were very close in competition. The jury discussed and debated over the film's every valid point even the child artists for nearly 2 hours. But Tingya lost on the basis of technical finesse, which is bound to differ when a 27 Lakh and 50 Crore budget movie is compared.
