Helen makes a comeback with Bachpan

Bollywood's original 'Dancing Diva' Helen will be seen making her comeback in Bollywood with a film titled Bachpan. The film is directed by debutante director Rajiv Sharma who has in the past assisted filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Satish Kaushik. Taking on from where last year's smash hit Taare Zameen Par left, Bachpan is a musical family saga, laced with emotions, seen from the perspective of children. In fact, when Rajiv Sharma decided to debut as a director, he zeroed in on this project which reflects the sensibilities of children. As for Helen's character, she plays the role of a grandmother in Bachpan. An elated Helen says, "The script was simply amazing. And when I read it, I was so overwhelmed, that I decided I had to do it. I have recently seen the rushes of the film and liked the way it has shaped up immensely." Apart from Helen, the film will also star another veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure along with four talented children.

Zayed Khan out of Mission Istaanbul's promotional campaigns

The ongoing tussle of priority between Zayed Khan's dates for Mission Istaanbul and Subhash Ghai's Yuvraj has reached a flashpoint. On Sunday Zayed was unable to attend a huge musical concert in Dehradun by the film's producers Popcorn Entertainment. Only producer Sunil Shetty, director Apoorva Lakhia and actor Nikiten Dheer (who plays the main antagonist) along with the musicians were present. Neither of the two protagonists Vivek Oberoi or Zayed Khan could attend. While Vivek is shooting in South Africa for a Tips film, Zayed, though in the country and extremely desirous of promoting what he considers to be his most important film so far, was committed to shoot for Subhash Ghai. And there's no way the Showman will allow his leading man to take time off from the shooting schedules when the film has already suffered innumerable delays. Says a source close to both the projects, "After the film got delayed Zayed's dates for Mission Istaanbul were obtained because of Salman Khan. In-between for whatever reason, Salman stopped shooting for Yuvraj. So there were chunks of Zayed's unused dates which the makers of Mission Istaanbul used. If Salman hadn't shuffled around his dates for Yuvraj, God knows what Zayed would've done. So basically, Zayed shot Mission on the time that Salman created." But now Subhash Ghai, harassed by the delay in his opus's completion is in no mood to slacken the last lap of the shooting for any reason. Says Sunil, "We were aware Zayed couldn't join us in Dehradun. So his non-presence was no shock to anyone. Of course we'd have liked him to be with us. But he was needed for Subhashji's shooting. So we had no choice." Ironically, Sunil intends to promote Mission Istaanbul in a big way in traditionally neglected promotional areas like Uttaranchal. And these are places where the stars provide face value. "Normally areas like Uttaranchal and Bihar aren't seen as being important for a film's promotion. But I feel we need to push our cinema in the non-metropolitan centres specially an action film like Mission Istaanbul." Sadly, it will have to be done without either of the film's leading men.

Guess this one!

He's the son of a noted financier/producer, who made towering hits in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s and has himself directed a couple of hits in the past. He moved to a foreign country some time back and has been toying with the idea of making an international project for a while now. The latest is, he has approached the 'Kinng' to enact the lead role in his new venture. Incidentally, the 'Kinng' has worked with him in the past; the film was a 'mast mast' hit at the box-office. Will the 'Kinng' say 'yes' to this one? Keep guessing!

Abbas Tyrewala's next venture will take off next year

So what is Abbas Tyrewala making next, after JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA? "It's a romantic-comedy this time. It's not the innocent, gentle love story that you witnessed in my directorial debut. This one's slightly teekhi [laughs], a classical romantic-comedy, after which I enter the black lane, with dark films," Abbas confides. Surprisingly, Abbas isn't writing the script of his next venture. "It's penned by Pakhi [Abbas' wife], who was the casting director of JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA. I haven't had the time for anything else. Actually, I haven't come out of JAANE TU… YA JAANE NA yet," he reveals. Madhu Varma will be producing the venture, which will roll next year. Is Abbas making a film for Aamir again? "If there's a script that suits Aamir or Imran, I would love to work with them. See, Aamir works differently. He likes to take challenges, venture into areas that most of us rarely venture into. He isn't the type to start a film with the same team just because a film is a hit," Abbas states. Back to Abbas' new film, he hasn't zeroed on the star cast yet. "The idea is to cast faces that suit the roles. The process is still on," he adds.

They say that you cannot sail in two boats, because there's a constant fear of drowning. Well, the ace choreographer Farah Khan is one such person who proved it wrong and how! Well, joining the bandwagon is yet another choreographer (read 'ace choreographer), who took the proverbial directorial plunge with the Manoj Bajpai-Juhi Chawla starrer Swami. We are indeed talking about Ganesh Acharya, who, after having made practically the whole of Bollywood to dance to his tunes, is back with his second directorial venture titled Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, a 'fullto Mumbaiyya fillum', as Ganesh would like to put it. Bollywood Hungama caught up with this modesty-personified man, who spoke to us in length, including the real reason for making Swami. Read on to find out about Ganesh Acharya's journey from being a choreographer to Swami and his latest Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. Lights, Camera, Action! Ganeshji, to begin with, you started your directorial journey in Bollywood with a non-commercial film Swami. Very true. There was a reason behind me making Swami. That is when Swami was released in 2006, I had 3-4 big budget films (as a choreographer) releasing around the same time. And I was very sure that these films will fare really well at the Box-Office. These films included Lage Raho Munnabhai, Omkara ('Beedi Jalaiye Le'), Rang De Basanti, and Golmaal. I had planned Swami almost 5 years back, right from its screenplay, dialogues, its story, and a lot of things that were related to me and my family. I knew that I was not the only choreographer getting into filmmaking; there have been many before me. I was also aware that Swami was not a commercial film. But putting aside all this, I was really satisfied making Swami, because it was a topic that was (and will forever be) really close to my heart. To put it categorically, Swami was my tribute to my parents. The good part of this film was that the media loved the film so much that it got me so much of critical acclaim which really meant (and it still means) more than anything for me. Swami was my tribute to my parents. After a sensitive directorial debut with Swami, what made you shift gears and make a laugh riot like Money Hai Toh Honey Hai? After having satisfied my emotional urge with Swami, one thing was for sure, that I wanted to make a commercial film. I just wanted to prove that after having made a sensitive film, I could make commercial films as well. That's the main reason why I made Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, which is a light-hearted comedy film. The film's essence lies in its comedy, which is very today and with which anyone and everyone can relate to in a jiffy. In today's world, in order to achieve and fulfill any dream, man requires money. How did the entire concept of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai come through? I had a script ready with me, which was about six principal characters, a story of every common man who fights against odds to be successful in life. You will often see most people questioning, 'Saala... hum gareeb hai tho kya hua…style nahin maar sakte hain kya'. When I had this concept in mind, I was working with Kumar Mangat as a choreographer. I, then, approached him with the script of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, who gave me the nod. After that, we signed Govinda, Manoj Bajpai, Celina Jaitley, Aftab Shivdasani, Hansika Motwani, and Upen Patel. As a choreographer, I have handled more than 12 stars at a time. So, in that sense, handling the big names was not at all an issue for me Is there any significance behind the film's whacky title Money Hai Toh Honey Hai? You know what! The term 'honey' is generally associated with a girl. But for me, the term 'honey' is happiness. And in terms of this film's parlance, it means that if you have money, you will be happy! In today's world, in order to achieve and fulfill any dream, man requires money. In short, the common man's need and desires are depicted through my film. The film is a multi-starrer. How easy or difficult was it working with such an ensemble cast? As a choreographer, I have handled more than 12 stars at a time. So, in that sense, handling the big names was not at all an issue for me as all of them respect me a lot and vice versa. As for the actors of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, I have earlier worked with Manoj Bajpai, Govinda, and Aftab. But it was a first time for me to be working with Celina and Hansika, but I must say that they were extremely hard working and damn good at their work. Our equation with each other had become so good that we literally partied every single day of our schedule in Mauritius, so much so that no one came to know when the film got over! I got full support from all my artists. You have choreographed Govinda who happens to be one of the finest actor-dancer in the industry today. So, how was your experience directing him this time? Frankly speaking, I have no qualms in saying that I have really learnt a lot from Govinda, even while I was directing this film. And not just Govinda, I keep on learning something from every artiste of mine, as for me, learning is a never-ending process. The one major thing that I have learnt from Govinda is the value of time and the aspect of timing…Well; I am talking about comedy timing (laughs). As for my film, Govinda has always been punctual for shoots. That explains why we were able wrap up the film so fast. I should also say that Govinda is nothing like what he was in the past. He has changed for the good. What made you cast a young actress like Hansika (who is nearly less than half his age) opposite Govinda? My film does not have the clichéd love angle. But let me also tell you that there is something that's really 'different' about this film, which you will realize when you see the film in entirety. That's the reason why age was not a criteria between the characters in my film. Let me also add that Hansika has been portrayed as never before. She is looking so piping hot in this film! I am sure that a lot of people would have changed their perception (about Hansika being a child actress etc…). Govinda is nothing like what he was in the past. He has changed for the good. After Swami, Was there any particular reason/s for you to repeat Manoj Bajpai in this film also? There's no doubt that Manoj is a very fine actor. He is often stereotyped as this 'somber' actor who can do only serious roles. But after working with him in Swami my opinion changed drastically. I saw a very fine tuned comic actor in him. And Manoj can do comedy at the drop of a hat! The role that I gave Manoj in Money Hai Toh Honey Hai is very different. He plays the role of Lalabhai Bhadoriya, which is very hilarious. I challenged people's opinion about his capabilities at comedy. I saw a very fine tuned comic actor in Manoj. And he can do comedy at the drop of a hat! Coming to the music of the film, you worked with new music directors Nitin and Sony. Which is your favorite track? Nitin and Sony had earlier composed the background score for Swami. They are very young and talented boys, who, as they say, belong to the hip-hop generation! My writer Mozam Baig, who also happens to be the writer of Swami, has written the story of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai. We work like one close-knit family. My favourite track is the 'Dhoom tanana' It sounds really strange that despite being an ace choreographer, you haven't choreographed the songs of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai! Why? Actually, the choreography is done by Vishnu Deva, my assistant, who has turned a full-fledged choreographer with this film. The entire film is full of 'dhammal' songs and I am very satisfied with the way the film has shaped up! And I have no regrets of not doing the choreography as directing the film kept me busy. My most memorable track as a choreographer is 'Koi jaaye tho le jaaye' from the film Ghatak. How was it working with Kumar Mangat as a producer? It was indeed very positive and very encouraging! You have choreographed umpteen songs. Of all, which has been your most memorable track? My most memorable track as a choreographer is 'Koi jaaye tho le jaaye' from the film Ghatak. Every single moment and movement of this track is evergreen in my memory! Film sequels seem to be the flavor of the season; can one look forward to a squeal of Money Hai Toh Honey Hai? No. There will be no sequel to Money Hai Toh Honey Hai at all!

Asin bows out of Akshay Kumar's film

It seems South India's Next Best Thing Asin is determined to take her success-quotient to a high a level in Bollywood as it is in Tamil and Telugu cinema. No false moves no slipups for the stunning sensation from the South who is being touted as a blend of Hema Malini and Rekha. Just recently, Asin gave the nod to three biggies with Aamir Khan (Ghajini), Salman Khan-Ajay Devgan (London Dreams) and last but certainly not the least, Akshay Kumar (Aise Ko Taisa). Now the news is, Asin is out of Priyadarshan's comedy with Akshay Kumar. Reason? According to her polite father, "There's a date clash with the promos of Ghajini." However, the director Priyadarshan is more forthcoming. "The Akshay film is a three-heroine project. I don't think Asin would be comfortable with that. My producers Venus are looking into the matter of the heroines. We start shooting in November. So we've ample time to find the girls." As far as Asin is concerned, the signal is loud and clear. This girl is here only to do author-backed central roles. No less.

"I am not in charge of casting for Bachna Ae Haseeno" - Deepika Padukone

You can't be a film old and then get so lucky. First film with SRK's production, Red Chillies and second with Yash Raj Films. I guess by the time Deepika is ten films old; she would have worked with Indian Film Industry's top ten production houses. And that is exactly where the problem lies. While the new generation of actors, have exploded themselves like a comet in Bollywood, what remains to be seen is how long they do last in India's most competitive and fierce professions. Well, Deepika Padukone thinks she will. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama's Devansh Patel, the dimpled beauty answers my questions to whether Bachna Ae Haseeno will be her boyfriends first big hit. Whether Bipasha and Minissha are a complete mis-match for Ranbir, will she last as long as Aishwarya Rai, what makes the song 'Khuda Jaane' so special, whether she will work with SRK again and will she invite me for her wedding. Deepika has the answers for you. How different is it to be working with your off screen boyfriend on screen? It doesn't really make much of a difference because at the end of the day when you're working and you're a part of the film, you are not really looking at whether he is your boyfriend or not because you're in your work space at that moment. Your debut film took you to a lavish red carpet premiere in London. Where is Bachna Ae Haseeno going to take you? Well I don't know what Yash Raj has planned for this film but I'm sure it will go somewhere as far as the premiere is concerned and for the film, it will go places. While Siddharth Anand's previous two films were big hits, Ranbir's Saawariya was a complete no-no. Will Bachna Ae Haseeno be Siddharth's hat-trick of hits and Ranbir's first big hit? Most definitely. That's what I believe. I think we all have worked really hard but more than us, Ranbir and Siddharth have worked that little extra to add in the best in the film. I hope and pray that they both get what they want from Bachna Ae Haseeno. Ranbir and Siddharth have worked that little extra to add in the best in the film As far as the pairing goes, don't you think Bipasha and Minissha are a bit of a mis-match combo for Ranbir? (Laughs) I am not in charge of casting here. But the way the story is, the script goes, there are other characters required in the film and both Bipasha and Minissha have done a great job in the film, whatever little I have seen of the film. That's all I can say. Brief us about your experience with Ranbir in different cities around the world you've travelled for the film. Well, I only got to work with him in Sydney and then for the song 'Khuda Jaane' in Italy. So both were great experiences. In Sydney, we were there for almost 25 days and there we were shooting the scenes. Italy was great fun too. It was 10 days of shooting this lovely romantic song in these beautiful locations. I don't think I would have discovered this beautiful place had we not shot this song there and now since we have discovered it, it's a place I would like to go for a holiday or honeymoon. The most exciting part of shooting this song was that we would shoot everyday and travel in the evening to another location set up in the next place and shoot again the whole day, I don't think anyone has ever travelled so much to shoot one song. I would like to go for a holiday or honeymoon the place where we shot 'Khuda Jaane' So is marriage on the cards? I'm not thinking of marriage as of now. Definitely not at the moment. When it does happen Deepika, will I get an invite? Of course, I'm sure the media will be invited. 'Khuda Jaane' sung by Kay Kay is slowly steadily topping the charts and we know that the song means a lot to you and Ranbir. The fact that both Ranbir and me are in love makes the song even more special because shooting the song made it lot more easier. It was a nice experience because it was the first time that we both were shooting for a romantic song together. I'm so glad that Vishal and Shekhar have managed to compile such a beautiful song for us with meaningful lyrics. The fact that both Ranbir and me are in love makes the song even more special We seem to give a lot of credit to music directors and forget the choreographer and the cinematographer who are responsible to make the song visually perfect. Most definitely. Infact the day the song released, people started calling us from around the world and sent us messages that the song is looking lovely and is a big hit in all the cities. Having said that, the three people I called up first after the news broke out was Ahmed Khan, the choreographer, Sunil Patel, the cinematographer and my director Siddharth Anand for giving us such a beautiful song. Tell us a bit about your costumes. Looking quite elegant, I should say. Yes because my character is a young girl, an NRI who lives in Sydney. She is very trendy and forward in terms of fashion but at the same time, she is traditional in a way. So keeping all these aspects in mind the costumes were made and when you have a designer like Akki Narula on board, I don't think one really needs to worry about being styled in a certain way because I completely trust him. I've worked with him when I was a model and I'm really glad that I got to work with him in my second film. My character is a young girl, an NRI who lives in Sydney. She is very trendy and forward in terms of fashion but at the same time, she is traditional in a way From the female lead, only Aishwarya Rai at the moment is dominating in Bollywood having come from the modeling background. A few more like Dia Mirza, Celina Jaitley and Sushmita Sen too have made a mark. Will you be as lucky as they are? Hopefully. Ash is someone I definitely look up to. She is someone I've really learnt a lot from and I used to watch her endorsements, her films and her modeling career right from the time she started off when I was very little and young. I also remember watching her when she won the Miss World. If my career goes the same way as Aishwarya's, it's going to be a huge compliment for me. Yash Raj Films are going through their worst phase in film production. Will Bachna Ae Haseeno bring a smile back to the big banner? I think it's wrong to generalize. Everyone goes through a bad phase. I appreciate the fact that Yash Raj Films tried to do something different in terms of the kind of films that they made in the last year or two. Some films work and some films don't work but we all have worked really hard on Bachna Ae Haseeno and hope it does well for us and Yash Raj. We all have worked really hard on Bachna Ae Haseeno and hope it does well for Yash Raj and us After having won rewards and awards for Om Shanti Om, how loyal are you going to be towards Red Chillies Production? (Laughs) Yes. Shah Rukh Khan and I are working in a song together because Red Chillies is producing a film for Priyadarshan called Billo Barber, which also stars SRK. And I've been fortunate enough to star in a song opposite SRK. I don't know the name of the song but they are still working on the song and the concept. Have you shared screen space with Bipasha and Minissha in Bachna Ae Haseeno? No. We've shot for a promotional song together and you will see all of four of us together but apart from that I'm not really in charge of creative. I agreed to do the film because I liked the character and a bit of the script that was narrated to me. I wanted to be a part of this film and I did what I wanted to do. I agreed to do the film because I liked the character and a bit of the script that was narrated to me The last time I saw your dad, Mr. Prakash Padukone, was in London for your films premiere. How much of him takes over your decision to choose or not to choose the film you do? A lot. I talk to my parents everyday and every move that I make, every endorsement that I do, every film that I do and my everyday activities are all discussed with them. My parents just don't prefer being in the limelight. They prefer being in the back seat and taking care of my career. My dad handles my finances. Today I wouldn't have been here had my parents not supported me the way they have. I wouldn't have been here had my parents not supported me the way they have. Any memorable moments you spent in Sydney with Ranbir? We did a lot of sight seeing in Sydney but apart from that, we also enjoyed a lot in Italy where we shot 'Khuda Jaane'. When we were shooting for the song, there is this one sequence where there are a lot of pigeons. There is a shot when I turn and the pigeons fly around me. So getting the scene right was very difficult because they had to put pigeon food on my hand before the shot. And these twenty five to thirty pigeons would come and sit on me and before the camera rolled, I could see all these pigeons crawling on my hand and by the end of it I'd have little scratches on my arm. But that was a lovely experience as I am pretty frightened about these things. And how was your lovely experience of working with Yash Raj Films? Did you take Mr. Yash Chopra's blessings? I am very glad that I got to work with the Yash Raj banner so early in my career and looking forward to doing more films with them. I met both Yashji and Adi several times. Any message for the Bollywood Hungama readers? Well all I'd like to say is be happy, believe in yourself and enjoy your work.

"SRK never created problems for Dulha Mil Gaya" - Viveck Vaswani

Viveck Vaswani is a happy man. His Dulha Mil Gaya, which has been in the making for around 1 and half years now, is fast nearing the finishing mark. The film would be more than 90% through this week as a marathon 20 day schedule comes to a close. In fact in the days gone by, the crew has already shot a substantial portion of the film in Panchgani, Vashi and Pune. Says Viveck in a relaxed tone, "Over the months there have been media speculations around the completion of Dulha Mil Gaya. It was amusing since more than me they seemed to be worried about the film. There were all kinds of stories circulating around the so-called troubles that the film was facing but my only response to them was - 'Keep Speculating'." But weren't there murmurs around Shah Rukh Khan being the cause of film's delay? Apparently, he wasn't too willing to spare his dates for the film even as he was busy keeping his other commitments. "Even I read about this but again, as I said, all this was plain speculation and a wrong one too", smiles Viveck, "Any big film would take its own sweet time to be completed. Yes, there were minor issues but none of them had anything to do with Shah Rukh Khan. He never created problems for Dulha Mil Gaya. My father was unwell for quite some time and I was busy there. He expired some time back and after a mourning period, I resumed work on the film." Questioning those who have been spreading false stories about SRK being uncooperative, Viveck challenges back, "Have you read any news piece where Shah Rukh himself has quoted anything about being unhappy with DMG? We interact on a regular basis and he has never opened his mouth against the film. Yes, there have been instances where he has been busy but that's understandable. It is a professional thing to do. I don't see any reason why it should be considered as a scoop enough?" So when do we see SRK's scenes being canned? "This week the film would be more than 90% complete and only a few scenes with SRK remain to be canned", informs Viveck, "There are 7 songs in the film and 6 have already been shot. One song with SRK remains and we can shoot for it anytime in August, September or October, whenever his dates permit." "We are not in hurry because the technicians at our production house are already on the job. They are keeping busy with the post production and making sure that the end product turns out to be good. It isn't as if the office is running all these years on a film which has been supposedly stalled. Sorry to disappoint a few, but we all are quite charged about Dulha Mil Gaya and making sure that it turns out to be the most talked about film", says Viveck in an excited tone. So the million dollar question is, when does Dulha Mil Gaya eventually release? "Approximately we are eyeing a January 2009 release. Things are going as per the plan and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be able to make it on that day", concludes Viveck.

The Unforgettable Tour Diary: Day 9 - Abhishek, Riteish, Vishal and Shekhar climb the speakers

- Within 24 hours of rocking the show at LA, the stars were already on the job in front of San Francisco crowds. With back to back shows over the weekend, fatigue was bound to set in but the moment lights went on and thousands of fans screamed in unison, it was business as usual for everyone who forms a part of 'The Unforgettable Tour'! The business of announcing their arrival. The business of entertaining people. The business of making sure that everyone out there got much more than what they could have ever bargained for. - No wonder, young bunch of four freaky guys - Abhishek, Riteish, Vishal and Shekhar - decided to do something different. In fact, they didn't quite decide to do this; it just happened. So what were they up to this time around? Well, if the stage wasn't big enough for them to jump around all over, this time they didn't even leave alone the speakers. Climbing up the speakers on the stage in both the directions, the four broke themselves into a pair each and stood up and clapped while the world watched. This act was to be seen to be believed! - While it appeared in LA that 20000 people had occupied the seating area of 12000 people then San Francisco wasn't really left behind. At least in LA people chose to occupy their seats and at maximum get into the aisles; here at SF, no inch of ground space was left vacant. So much so that people stood up on the chairs and were seen clapping hard and trying to have a dekko at the stars on the stage. - Well, the stars did oblige, as they have been doing in the 3 concerts that have been held so far! Amitabh Bachchan came up with an astounding performance when he recited ever-so-popular dialogues from films like Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila, Deewar and Agneepath. The crowd, which otherwise was at its vociferous best, went silent the moment Big B's voice loomed large. Last one heard, the magic of 'Khush To Bahaut Hoge Tum' is reverberating the city of SF till this hour! - A thing to be remembered about Big B's performance is that rather than just being physically connected to the audience, he is also making an emotional connection. This is something which can be observed when he walks up on the stage and recites his dialogues. While some of them get the legendary actor all moist eyes, even audience isn't spared of the emotion. It is actually surreal to witness people continue to give the same kind of love, respect and affection to the spoken dialogues which were first heard 25 years back! - Vintage Bollywood is continuing to enthrall the crowds with Madhuri Dixit rocking the show once again after LA. Onlookers claim that they have been waiting for a moment like this for years now. And it is indeed quite some moment when she merely winks and passes a glance to the waiting audience. No wonder, people out there are loving each and every moment when Madhuri graces the stage with her presence. The 'Dola Re' wave continues! - Yet again, the impeccable arrangements are meeting with quite some appreciation from the stars. Since the SF show happened within 24 hours of the one at LA, the team of 'Unforgettable Tour' didn't quite have time in hand to check out the sound arrangements. Moreover, there wasn't a tech-rehearsal either and it was all left to the organizers (and of course God!) to make things happen. Fortunately for everyone involved, there wasn't a slightest of blemish as the show went seamless from first till the very last minute. With a clockwork precision to boast of, it was one evening to be remembered! - Just before Vishal and Shekhar were required to go on stage for their performance, Abhishek met them back stage and together they made a resolve to storm the city of SF further. 'If LA was good, this had to be great' - they promised each other. No wonder, the 'Bluffmaster' act turned out to be the best ever of the tour so far. Making sure that there was never a single dull moment as everyone jammed on stage, the team of Vishal, Shekhar, Abhishek and Riteish were at their energetic best in this segment. Of course, speakers turned out to be their stage this time around (remember the incident mentioned at the very beginning of the feature?!) - There is a special Gujarati section which goes on when Vishal and Shekhar come on board. With Abhishek and Riteish joining them for this part, it turned out to be one complete mad house all over again. Any casualty? Well, Vishal's voice went for a toss after the show and it was only hours later that he came back to a sane state! Thankfully, it is going to be a week long break for everyone from this point on. After spending some more time in SF, the team would be moving to Houston on 29th July. With the show being planned way down on 2nd August, it is going to be some massive party time for all the stars in the interim!

Sanjay Dutt to star in Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time In Mumbai

Sanjay Dutt, who celebrates his birthday today, is all set to play a gangster one more time. It's meant to be the ultimate comprehensive look-see at Mumbai's underworld. And who better equipped to star in it than Sanjay Dutt who has acted in more films on the underworld than Ram Gopal Varma has directed? The whole world knows Balaji's Ekta Kapoor and Popcorn Entertainment's Suniel Shetty dote on Sanjay Dutt. To no one's surprise he had been signed by the two mega-producers for one more joint venture. This time it's another gangster flick entitled Once Upon A Time In Mumbai that will take Dutt and his director Milan Luthria through a whole decade of gangsterism in the 1980s. Revealing details, producer Suniel Shetty says, "Initially we wanted to focus on one aspect of crime and smuggling in the 1980s. Now we're taking into account the whole era and ethos leading up to terrorism and international terrorism in current times." Sanjay Dutt has played the gangster in 15-20 films including funny ones in David Dhawan's Hum Kissise Kum Nahin and Raju Hirani's Munnabhai. So why one more? Explains Suniel, "Because Baba really suits the role. And both Ekta and I want him to be a part of the film. Basically, we'd like Baba to do as many films for us as possible. He's in our film Gen Next also. This is the one where the winners of Ekta's reality show Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket will co-star with Baba." Earlier the plan was to only feature one female and male winner in the film with Dutt. But now Suniel feels the doors should be open to more talent. "Baba feels there can never be too much fresh talent. And Ekta's show goes on for five years. So there will be a lot more fresh talent coming out of the show and into Balaji and Popcorn films." Suniel has vowed never to act in films which he produces. "It becomes too messy. There's too much looking over the shoulder. Too much anxiety about what's happening behind the scenes." For now Mission Istaanbul would be the last of Suniel's productions where he plays part. "But it's only a bit role. I've made sure I'm not featured in the publicity. Right now I'm busy as an actor in other people's production." Suniel is shooting for his first intense love story since Dharmesh Darshan's Dhadkan. "It's a really mature love story directed by Kabir Sadanand called Tum Milo To Sahi and I'm cast opposite Vidya Malvade. In fact as an actor I've two releases coming up in two weeks. After Mission Istaanbul there's Mukbiir on August 1. Both very different films from one another. I don't know why they're being compared."
