Oz` Origin Energy rejects BG Group`s takeover bid!

Origin Energy Ltd., Australia`s second largest power retailer, rejected a 13.7 billion Australian dollar (US$13 billion) takeover bid on Friday from British natural gas producer BG Group. BG Group last month launched a hostile bid of A$15.50 cash per Origin share, almost four weeks after Origin rejected an unsolicited proposal from BG Group at the same price. That was revised up from an initial offering of A$14.70 a share in April.
