The Board of Directors of South Indian Bank (SIB) at its meeting held on Jun. 28, 2008, has recommended issue of bonus shares to the existing shareholders in the ratio 1:4 , i.e. one bonus share for every four equity shares held on the record date, subject to shareholders' approval at the next Annual General Meeting, slated for August 18.
