In the backdrop of the UPA-Left stand-off on the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has convened a meeting of top party functionaries on Saturday. The meeting is expected to take stock of the political situation across the country which could help the party leadership take a `political call` on whether to take the next steps on the nuclear deal.
