Chuckling at his own cleverness Ramu says, "The fact is, I'm completely net illiterate. I don't even know how to put on the computer or type into it, let alone write in a blog. I see no need to interact with people on a daily basis."
Regarding the cancellation of the mock-rally for the Sarkar Raj event, Ramu says, "T Series and I were supposed to have this public function for the release of the film's music. One shining bright face, which has been the eternal darling in the world of advertisements, movies, reality shows, and lately cricket as well, is undoubtedly that of the Bollywood Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan, who has already taken entertainment to the next level altogether!
It has been time and again proven that he is indeed a Midas Touch man who pumps gold out of everything and anything he lays his hands on! But if you feel that he is Mr. Everything who can do no wrong, then, think again, as even the Moon has got a black spot, and SRK is a human after all!
It's true that SRK, the one-man army, whose mere name presence, guarantees a film to be a superhit even before its release. After all, they do not call him the King Khan or the Baadshah of Bollywood for nothing!
But what is strange is that the films in which SRK has the main lead, have been mega hits, whereas the films in which he has done cameos, had the Box Office turning its back on. Simply put, his cameo appearance-movies have always bit the dust.
Here's presenting the 'Bestimonials', we mean, the 'Best of Testimonials' which stand proof to the above statement.
SRK did his first cameo appearance in Dushman Duniya Ka, which was directed by the late Mehmood. The film was about the protagonist Lucky and his drug addiction habit, which was penned in the hilarious and tragic way but the film refused to jingle at the ticket windows and went hugely unnoticed, despite the fact that it had the 'Mega Star of the Box Office'. SRK's other cameo appearances in films like Gudgudee (1997) and Gaja Gamini (2000) were also a major letdown.
Next in line was the Samar Khan directed Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye starring Arshad Warsi, Mahima Choudhary, and Shah Rukh Khan in a Special Appearance. The film revolved around an airport. But again, Shah Rukh Khan's presence couldn't prevent the salvo's misfiring.
Shakti - The Power, a Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's production, that was directed by Krishna Vamsi, showed a one-woman-army, Karisma Kapoor's, fight to get her son back. The makers might have sensed that the film had too much of violence. Hence, SRK was brought in the picture to add some humor. He played a local Bihari boy who helps Karisma reach her destination and protects her from the goons. But of course, the biggest highlight of the film was SRK's performance on the track 'Ishq Kamina'. The song also had a special appearance by the ever gorgeous Aishwarya Rai as an item girl. Unfortunately, the film was a disaster at the Box Office.
The other one in the Cameo-flops list include Kaal, in which SRK did a first 'Item Number' with the original oomph-mati Malaika Arora Khan, before doing 'Dard-e-Disco' and 'Break Free'. Even though the song was a huge hit with sleek picturization, the film failed to click with the audiences.
These back-2-back cameo debacles don't end just here. SRK was seen in Hunky Arjun Rampal's home production I See You, in which he was seen playing the guitar whereas Hrithik Roshan doing his favorite dance stint, which has also refused to smile at the box office.
And last but not the least, who can forget the major fiasco of the recent times, which was called as Krazzy 4, a film that was hyped to the core, piggy banking on SRK's item number! The film also had the super clash of the titans SRK V/s the Hrithik Roshan, both of whom danced to the same track. If that was not enough, it also had the 'Item Queen' Rakhi Sawant. Sad but true, none of the three pillars could manage to help the film stand firm at the Box-Office!
So, is it that SRK's luck doesn't favor his cameo appearances? The answer to this question remains a mystery. Though SRK's cameo roles haven't been able rub the magic on the films, he has always been a striver and not concerned with what will be the outcome of it. Rumi Jaffrey's directorial debut God Tussi Great Ho has been in the making for quite some time now. We at Bollywood Hungama bring you the exclusive first look of this Big B- Salman Khan - Priyanka Chopra starrer. And for all those who are eager to know what this movie is about, here's a short synopsis.
Arun Prajapati (Salman Khan) has been trying to be a successful TV anchor but success has always eluded him. He only blames God for this. Arun is head over heels in love with Alia (Priyanka Chopra), who is a TV anchor and a well-known star working in the same channel but he has never been able to express his love for her. Destiny plays a cruel game with him when Rocky is appointed as an anchor for the channel. Arun starts believing that Rocky will win over Alia. Circumstances go out of hand for Arun and he gets thrown out of the channel. He has nobody to blame but God Himself. And very soon he has an encounter with the Almighty. An argument ensues between the two. God (Amitabh Bachchan) then decides to give Arun the power to run earth for seven days as Arun claims that he can do a better job. After Arun becomes God, he becomes successful. He puts Rocky into an uneasy spot and wins Alia's heart. Also, he grants everybody's wish. But much to his dismay this becomes the biggest problem of his life.

After leaving an indelible imprint as an actor with his debut film Johnny Gaddaar, Neil Nitin Mukesh is all geared up to follow the footsteps of his grandfather and father by making his debut in singing in Jehagir Surti's thriller, Freeze.
Sounding modest about his singing abilities, Neil said that he is nowhere close to his grandfather or father but can carry his notes very well. He further added that though he admires the singers in his family a lot, he has been a fan of Kishore Kumar's style of singing.
Neil however, was never in the favour of stepping into professional singing and wanted to create a niche for himself in acting. But despite all the intentional efforts to stay away from singing, he feels destiny has played a big role in bringing him to the recording studios.

Is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan still ruing the fact that she missed out on working with Madhur Bhandarkar for Corporate? Is that the reason why there is a stark similarity in the wardrobe of Ash in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj and that of Bipasha Basu from Corporate?
Bollywood followers may remember that when Corporate was being planned, Madhur Bhandarkar had first approached Aishwarya Rai to play the role of film's central protagonist Nishigandha. Since the film required someone with grace coupled with glamour to be enacting the key role, Aishwarya seemed to be just the right choice. However, due to date problems, Aishwarya couldn't be a part of the film and Bipasha Basu was roped in pronto as a replacement.
Says an industry insider on condition of anonymity, "It appears that Ash always carried a secret desire of doing a role where she could play a corporate woman. This is why when Ram Gopal Varma approached her for Sarkar Raj, she was all for it. However, though this could very much be a coincidence, it is pretty apparent that Aishwarya's wardrobe and look pretty much seems to be based on the one that Bipasha carried in Corporate.
On being told about the similarities, Ram Gopal Varma is hardly amused and instead replies nonchalantly, "In a corporate world, you do dress up in a certain way. You can't walk in like a dolled up heroine or straight from a marriage procession. Anyone familiar with the corporate world knows that it is mandated for senior professionals to be wearing smart business casuals. This is what Aishwarya Rai also wears since she plays a personnel who represents the top management. What else could she have been shown wearing?"
With trademark Ramu humor, the maverick director goes on to conclude, "Whether it is Bipasha Basu, Ash or anyone before or after them, each of them would be seen in a similar attire in a role like this. I don't see any reason why something as trivial as this should be a matter of gossip for anyone? In any case none of us filmmakers have invented the corporate look per se, isn't it?"
Coming back to Sarkar Raj, the film is carrying an all around positive buzz and is all set to release on June 6. With the entire Bachchan family coming together, a hit prequel behind it, vintage Ramu touch to the frames and some well cut promos and stills, Sarkar Raj appears to be a shot in the arm for the filmmaker who has long forgotten his ill fated Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag! There's a famous English that âVictory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan.â But the Master Blaster Anupam Kher is all set to redefine the term 'orphan' and make a winner out of it.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Anupam Kher said, âMany years back, I used to do a show on Doordarshan channel called as 'Ariel Mr. Gold'. As a part of this show, I travelled the lengths and the breadths of the country. And wherever I went, I used to donate Rs. 5000 to the orphanages out there. That's where I saw the pathetic state of the orphanages in this country, which was very much contradictory to the orphanages aboard (in London and America). That's the time when I started to cherish the dream of building an orphanage which will serve as a 'Model Orphanage' to others. The said orphanage will also have a Counselling Centre for the children in slums who have given up studies to earn a living and also for the children who are victims of abuse. With 'Honesty' as the USP of this orphanage, we are looking at helping the destitute and the slum children. We will be starting with 50-60 children, which will eventually increase. We have already requested the government to allot a land in the Bandra-Kurla Complex area and are quite optimistic of the fact that the government will surely extend their support in this noble cause.â
Anupam Kher has also appointed the bright spark Ujjwal Banerjee, (a front runner contestant in the 'Lead India' TV show) as the CEO of the Foundation. Talking about Ujjwal, Anupam said, âI was very disappointed that Ujjwal did not make it as a grand winner. As they say that God shuts one window to open a big other. I spotted the potential of this man on the 'Lead India' show, which I was hosting.â
