Anees Bazmee inks 8 crore deal with Studio 18

After the success of Welcome last year, Anees Bazmee has reportedly, inked an 8 Crore deal with Studio 18, thus making him one of the highest paid directors in the industry. Confirming the news about the whopping deal Bazmee did not divulge any details about the figures. He however informed that he would be commencing with the shoot once he wraps up with Singh Is Kinng. He further added that the script of the film will be finalized by next month and thereafter, he will zero down the star cast. Not only this, Bazmee is all set to direct three sequels to No Entry, Welcome and Phir Hera Pheri. To which Bazmee informed that he announced the sequel to Welcome before its release last year.

One would remember yesteryears’ actress Manorama by her overstated eyelashes and expressions. She could easily be recollected by her prominent negative characters in films like Seeta Aur Geeta, Ek Phool Do Maali and Do Kaliyan. Unfortunately, she passed away in Mumbai on Friday (February 15). Manorama had done a couple of tele-soaps on Sony and Star Plus. She had started her acting career in Lahore decades ago and had moved to Mumbai during the 1947 partition along with her husband. Almost lost in the industry, Manorama last appeared in the Oscar nominated film Water as the head of a widow's ashram in Varanasi.
